Before Kaydon was born, Lauren felt labor pains at 1 in the morning, so she and her husband sent their other children to stay with other family members until they could get to the Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs.

Upon arrival in New Castle, Lauren's water broke, and she immediately felt the urge to push. As they got close to the West Glenwood exit, the baby's head emerged, and Lauren was scared while also trying to stay calm.

Even though she tried hard to hold it in, her body kept pushing, so Lauren asked Jayson to stop the car so that he could help her finish the delivery. She pushed the baby out.
