Micah Hyde's Wife Amanda Hyde Once Shared the Story of Their Engagement
The gorgeous Amanda Hyde is the wife of National Football League (NFL) star Micah Hyde. The couple married in 2018, about a year after their engagement.
They had met four years before and got into a long-distance relationship after a few dates. They managed to make things work, and the long-distance factor was minimized.
In 2020, they welcomed their first child and added a second the following year. Now a family of four, the Hydes enjoy being in each other's company.
Micah’s Wife Amanda Once Shared Their Love Story
In a video made as part of the Buffalo Hills franchise series, "Better Half of the Bills," Amanda talks about when and how she met Micah and how their love progressed.
She mentioned that it was their second season in Buffalo, and they had met four years before; hence, they became acquainted in approximately 2013 or 2014. Micah signed for the franchise in 2017, making 2018 their second season.
The pair met in San Diego, California, where Amanda is from, and where the football player spends his time and trains during the off-season. Amanda says their getting-to-know-each-other phase was effortless and very much enjoyable.
The couple went on several dates before she realized what his profession was. Micah told his date that he was from Ohio but did not mention Green Bay Packers, his former team. She only knew that he was a popular figure after one of her friends pointed it out, and even then, she still doubted if it was him.
Still, Micah had to return to Green Bay, Wisconsin, but before he did, he promised Amanda that she would never feel the distance. The couple could still see each other weekly, which worked for them.
They’ve Been Married since 2018
Micah and Amanda got engaged in July 2017 in San Diego. The NFL star may have had some sleepless nights planning a great proposal, and lucky for him, Amanda thought it was perfect.
The well-worked proposal began with Micah telling his girlfriend that he would pick her up, and they would have some fun. After driving for a while, they got to a vacant parking lot with a plane waiting to take them to a boat.
When they arrived at the boat, their family and close friends stood there. As soon as the couple stepped onto the deck, Micah got down on one knee and asked his lady for her hand in marriage, which she obviously duly obliged.
Next up was the wedding, and it took only a short time for that to happen. About a year later, Amanda and Micah tied the knot, which she described as a fairytale wedding. Amanda walked down the aisle surrounded by family and friends at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, a five-star resort in Dana Point, California.
Because of her Arabic background, they also decided to incorporate that into the wedding. Therefore, the bride made two entrances to the venue. She described the first as standard, and the second "was just all Arabic music, and all the guys got dressed up, and the girls had jewels on their heads."
Micah and Amanda Are Parents of Two
In September 2019, the Hydes announced they would add to their family. On March 18, 2020, Amanda gave birth to Micah Richmond Hyde Jr. Being Micah junior's mom became Amanda's second most favorite thing she loved most only after being Micah's wife.
Just over a year later, the family of three revealed that they would be becoming a family of four soon. On August 30, 2021, they welcomed Maverick Hudson Hyde to the family.
Micah Calls His Wife His Best Friend
On Amanda's birthday on September 7, 2022, her husband noted that she was his best friend and added several interesting facts about her to the Instagram post.
According to Micah, Amanda does not take expiration dates seriously and can eat cold food straight out of the fridge. She also has pen pals (people she has never met but speaks to constantly). These are two of the ten exciting facts he listed about his wife.
Amanda Once Shared How She Fell in Love with a Stadium
Before their move to Buffalo, Amanda admits she did not know anything about the city. But when they got there, the first thing she wanted to see was the stadium.
She wanted her husband to drive her by the stadium at least, and immediately she fell in love with it and eventually fell in love with the people and the community. In Buffalo, Micah plays alongside other star athletes, including Von Miller.
Amanda pointed out that their game day experience is fantastic, and she is obsessed with it. The couple is blessed enough to live close to both of their families. Micah has many friends and family in Ohio, while Amanda has many family members in Detroit.
Therefore, they always have a packed house. The night before a game, Micah sleeps at the team hotel but can come home early in the morning and eats breakfast in the house with 20 or so other family members.
