Chayce Beckham's dream of being a country singer has been coming true since he won season 19 of "American Idol." Born on July 16, 1996, in Apple Valley, California, he has since made his mark in Nashville as a singer/songwriter.
It all started on the "American Idol" stage, where Beckham impressed judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie, swept away the competition and revealed himself as the season's most outstanding talent.
Before he grabbed that microphone trophy, Beckham handled heavy machinery and kept his hand in music playing in a reggae band called the Sinking Sailors.
As Beckham hones his craft and his star rises, his fans are ever more eager to know all about their "American Idol," including his love life.

On his Instagram feed, Beckham shares news about his career, music, and photos with fellow musicians. The posts feature Beckham, his guitar, and his dog, but no lady love.
The singer has overcome his problems with alcohol and left his dark days behind with the help of his mother, stepfather, and four sisters.
The singer, who has faced some complex challenges and losses recently, keeps his private life separate from his professional life and his relationship under cover.

Beckham's family rallied around him after his brush with death and helped him face his addiction to alcohol and put his life back together. The glue turned out to be Beckham's music, and it was at his family's insistence that he entered "American Idol."
Beckham's mother is Windie Petersen, and his stepfather, Terry Petersen, encouraged him to sing and to take his talent seriously. Beckham paid tribute to Windie in a sweet Mother's Day post, saying:
"I'm so lucky to have a mother who never stopped believing in me. She's my rock in this world, my anchor; when I think about the desert, and I think about home, I think about my mom."
