Mickey Rourke Shares 'Getting Ready to Go Out' in a Modern Cowboy Outfit
Mickey Rourke brought out his inner cowboy in a new Instagram post. The actor has changed his appearance several times and remains active in the entertainment industry with several projects.
Mickey Rourke has portrayed several characters in his decades-long career, including a cowboy in "The Last Outlaw." It has been 30 years since the film was released, and Rourke is again channeling the cowboy in him.
In a recently posted Instagram photo, Rourke rocked a modern-day cowboy outfit, wearing a leather jacket, loose black and white pants, and a gray cowboy hat.
He also accessorized with a thick brown belt with chain accessories. "Getting ready to go out… 'but I don't know if going out is ready for me,'" he captioned the post.
According to plastic surgeons, Rourke's aesthetic procedures "affected his facial proportions to the point where it's now quite jarring to the human eye."
Rourke was one of Hollywood's most handsome men in the '80s, with several on-screen credits. Although he was reaching success, Rourke wasn't happy in the industry. Eventually, he transitioned to a different career, boxing, in the '90s.

Engaging in a heavy contact sport always put Rourke's health on the line. As a result, he damaged his cheekbone, nose, ribs, and toes. At one point, his advisers saw it best he quit boxing or entertain the possibility of brain damage.
While his health remained the same, Rourke's appearance visibly changed. The actor tried to fix his face after boxing but unfortunately suffered a botched plastic surgery. He said:
"I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together."
By 2009, Mickey Rourke had already undergone surgery six times, five of which were to fix his broken nose. However, his once-sagging face returned to its toned and defined shape in 2014.
Five years later, Rourke shocked fans with an unrecognizable appearance during an interview about his comeback in "The Wrestler." According to plastic surgeons, Rourke's aesthetic procedures "affected his facial proportions to the point where it's now quite jarring to the human eye."
Another expert believes Rourke's constant botox procedures damaged his forehead after being in paralysis for so long. He also thinks the actor wears a wig.

Besides "The Wrestler," Rourke has starred in several notable films, including "Angel Heard," "Sin City," "Iron Man 2," and "Bullet." He often appears in action films, suiting his physical physique. Most recently, Rourke joined the casts of "The Commando," "WarHunt," "Section 8," and "Hunt Club."
