Broken Elderly Teacher Leaves Class after Students Mock Her: ‘I’m Just a Stupid Old White Lady!’
A class of teenagers left a senior teacher with no other choice but to storm off after they repeatedly mocked her in class. The humiliated old woman left the classroom trembling, and it was all caught on video.
School bullying can happen to anyone, regardless of age. This is the painful reality that one senior teacher had to learn after being repetitively taunted by her students.
To date, bullying is a grave problem experienced in many US schools. It has greatly affected many children's mental health, and it has caused them to either quit or move schools, too.

Fed up with Her Students
In one school, the problem went beyond its students—even teachers were being bullied. One elderly teacher couldn't handle it anymore, so she decided to quit in the middle of class.
In a clip documenting the incident, the teacher was clearly past her breaking point when she decided she no longer wanted to deal with her mean, unruly students. While she packed up her things, some students could be heard laughing, thinking she was joking about leaving.

However, they would later see that their teacher was serious about leaving. As she packed up her things from behind her desk, with her voice trembling, she said:
"And people are laughing! I'm gonna go, I don't even care if I don't get paid today. I'm just a stupid old white lady, that's all."

The Teacher Walked Away for Good
In the clip, a couple of students can be heard talking about her, with one male student audibly saying "Woah, isn't no way." Meanwhile, the teacher went on to rant about the disrespect she was feeling, telling them to go ahead and do whatever they wanted to do.
"Yeah, do whatever you want, I don't care. You're gonna do it anyway," she said as she packed up her things.

When the students realized they had gone too far, they tried to get her to stay. However, the teacher had enough and said she was leaving for good. "I'm walking, I'm walking right out the door. I won't ever be back," she told them as she walked away.
A man in what seemed to be a blue Ross uniform also appeared in the clip. It was unclear what he was doing in the classroom, and why he silently watched as the drama transpired.

People on the Internet were Angered
The heartbreaking clip was posted on TikTok, where it garnered millions of views. People on the internet couldn't believe how the students could be so cruel, especially to an old woman who was only there to do her job. One couldn't help but share how heartbroken she felt for all the teachers who had to deal with disrespect on a daily basis.
Some people who worked in school settings also shared their own experiences and how they had to fight the urge to walk out many times because of the disrespect they've received from students as young as six years old. One even went on to say how she can't imagine older teachers dealing with the disrespect for over thirty years.
While there are some who have chosen to get up and leave, there are also some who managed to fight through the difficulties. One teacher wrote that after a terrible day, she received a message of appreciation from a student's mother, and that was enough for her to last the entire year.
Being a teacher is no easy feat, especially when having to deal with children with different personalities. In a world where bullying is rampant, people are called to treat people with kindness, especially since everyone has their own personal struggles they have to deal with.
Have you ever experienced anything like this before? Do you think the teacher did the right thing? What would you have done?
Many teachers have gone above and beyond their call of duty, treating their students like family. In a touching story, a teacher raising a sick child receives a box from his students which brings him to tears.
