A clip from Bert Kreischer's latest podcast has riled up social media. He contrasted his guest, comedian Kelsey Cook, moving away from Hollywood for her kids to him leaving his daughters to "raise themselves" while he got on a tour bus because "daddy's got dreams."

Bert Kreischer captioned the video on March 20, 2023, "Do you need BOTH parents?!" having quipped on the show that his kids' "privilege was showing" if they expected that. A popular comment read, "Is this supposed to be funny?"

An Instagram user stated, "Bro's not a comedian; he's a tragedy." Another wrote, "Not being there for you kids isn't funny, Bert." A fan came up with a solution, "Just rent another bus, bring them with, then travel the US with 'em. Ezpz."

Bert Kreischer Once Admitted How He 'Didn't See' He's Missed Some of His Kids' Special Moments

In "The Razzle Behind the Dazzle," the behind-the-scenes footage of his Netflix special, Bert Kreischer's wife and kids are getting off the tour bus. He later chats with his daughter, Ila Kreischer, backstage via FaceTime.

Giving his children that kind of freedom and worry-free existence was precisely what the dad wanted for his progeny.

Though Ida and Georgia Kreischer have been there for the comedian's significant events, he has missed out on many of theirs. During a "2 Bears, 1 Cave" podcast with fellow dad and comedian Chris Distefano in May 2022, Bert and his guest got teary when talking about their families.

For the first four years of his daughter's lives, the then-broke comedian was a real attentive dad," there for all the early milestones like their first steps.

Landing two shows on the Travel Channel, "Bert the Conqueror" and "Trip Flip," in his late thirties, took Bert away from his family much more. Having taught his girls "beautiful swings" for softball, he found it "heartbreaking" not to be at their games when the coach gave them the wrong advice.

He praised Distefano for realizing the importance of being around, which he deemed very "healthy," admitting that he "did not see it" himself. Bert got some perspective sitting next to an Afghanistan veteran on a plane who hadn't seen his kid for two years and told to the comedian that the little things matter.

On Bert's return, he saw his daughters playing on the trampoline he got for Christmas despite not having a lot of money at the time, "They were playing, like, really free." Giving his children that kind of freedom and worry-free existence was precisely what the dad wanted for his progeny.
