Loren Gray realized that she had never uploaded pictures of herself without using a filter because she was "embarrassed" about her acne. She decided to rectify this as the medication she's been using for four months has left her feeling "a bit more confident."

TikTokker Loren Gray posted a video yesterday, set to one of her electro-pop songs, in which she appears unfiltered in the middle of the clip. A follower of six years commented, "My love is regardless and unconditional for you," which the singer mirrored in a reply, "My love for u is unconditional."

A TikTok user thought the video was admirable, "You just made so many little girls that are in a chokehold of society's toxic expectations smile." Another concurred: "This makes me feel so better, ur beauty is literally unmatched." Though the song is about not being perfect, a fan wrote, "girl ur perfect!"

Loren Gray Is Slated to Launch Her First Album

In middle school, Gray downloaded Musical.ly, a forerunner of TikTok, to make silly videos with her friends. The early adapter now has 54.4 million TikTok followers. In her bio, she states, "Never Be Perfect 4.5," and invites fans to see her on tour.

Her album, "Guilty," shares its name with the single she released last year about her mental health struggles.

The Los Angeles resident made the Forbes 30 Under 30 - Social Media list in 2021 when she was still comfortably under 20. Brands like Burger King, Skechers, and Hyundai have partnered with the social media maven for sponsored content.

The 20-year-old has been working on her music career since 2008 and is finally ready to release her debut album on April 21. Grey told Rolling Stone that she is very proud of every track on her first LP, and though it has been a drawn-out process, it was a healing and "very therapeutic" experience:

"I hope it gives people the opportunity to connect with me, and I'm beyond excited to share it with the world."

Her album, "Guilty," shares its name with the single she released last year about her mental health struggles and changed the record's trajectory.

With her latest single, "Told You So," dropped on March 3, Loren Gray and her team aimed to "create something that would be fun to perform on stage." The empowering song encourages listeners to be bold and have "the freedom to embody the most daring parts of yourself."
