The publication divulged that the actor is related to the famous 17th-century Native American woman, Pocahontas. Results proved that she is Edward's great-grandmother of 12 previous generations.

The show's host, Henry Lois Gates Jr., told Atlas's father, "Pocahontas is indeed your 12th great grandma." This discovery means Atlas shares the same relation, though one generation later.
