Seth Rogen's Weight Loss over the Years through Exercise & Diet
Seth Rogen's weight loss journey has been a topic of discussion over the years. His constant changes to his looks consistently inspire his fans, and he once revealed that a healthy diet and exercise helped.
Seth Rogen is a Canadian-American writer, comedian, producer, and actor whose acting career began when he joined the cast of the 1999 series "Freaks and Geeks." He has since starred in other movies and series such as "Knocked Up," "Undeclared," "The Green Hornet," and more.
With the growth in his career, fans began noticing that the actor's appearance frequently changed. The topic of Seth Rogen's weight loss actively started in 2014 when he portrayed Rand Gauthier in "Pam & Tommy." However, it was not the first time his looks changed before a movie's filming.

Seth Rogen Lost Weight before Making Several Movies
In 2009, Rogen was first seen losing a significant amount of weight. The actor, who lost 30 pounds then, noted that he needed to lose weight for his role as Ronnie Barnhardt in "Observe and Report."
His desire to lose weight was due to the filming location, a high-altitude area, and he struggled to cope. In addition, he knew that he needed to be physically fit to play his role on "The Green Hornet" in a star-studded cast that included Cameron Diaz, who recently celebrated her 8th wedding anniversary.
The actor's weight loss in 2009 impressed fans, and he revealed in an interview that everyone wanted to talk to him about his new appearance. At the time, he was unsure he would maintain the look because he loved to eat.
Ten years later, fans were still gushing about his looks after Rogen appeared on the cover of GQ's June/July issue. Next, he was seen visibly losing weight while playing a role in the 2022 series "Pam & Tommy" alongside actors like Sebastian Stan and Lily James.
Even though Rogen had been actively shedding pounds for several years, he gained weight for the 2014 movie, "Neighbors." The actor revealed that he did not think losing weight was necessary. He said:
"I think I actually gained more pounds for this part. I knew the juxtaposition would be important and I think it played very well."
Seth Rogen Has Been Working On His Shape
Despite the fluctuations in his weight, Rogen said he does not do too much. He sometimes exercises and does not have a dedicated wellness routine that he follows.
However, he once worked with the trainer Harley Pasternak and lost a lot of weight in nine months. When Pasternak remarked on the actor's weight loss journey, he said:
"I took him from a doughy stoner to a handsome, fit superhero."
Rogen also revealed that he did not do any special training or go the extra mile to get into shape. He said:
"I did not do any experimental injections! It's just diet and exercise. It works!"
Seth Rogen's Weight Loss Causes Jokes
In 2011, Rogen voiced the role of the alien Paul in the movie "Paul." After the film was released, his looks as an alien became a source of jokes about his weight loss.
His fellow actors made fun of the fact that the alien he portrayed was out of proportion and had no hair. Jason Bateman joked that Rogen called Christian Bale, while Simon Pegg claimed the actor laid off gluten and heavy products while working out.
British actor, comedian, author, painter, producer, and screenwriter Nick Frost who also starred in "Paul," jokingly said:
"He carried me around in a BabyBjörn for months."
They also made fun of the alien's eyes which they said were massive. Pegg further stated that Rogen went too far in his desire to lose weight.

Despite the remarks about his character's looks, the actor and comedian did not take the jokes to heart and made no comments on his weight loss.
He has gone on to voice other roles like Donkey Kong in the upcoming movie "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," which was shot in 2021 and set to be released later in 2023.
Seth Rogen also knows how to make jokes, although the Emmy producers did not like the COVID-19 joke he made at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards.
