Justine Lupe Recently Opened Up about Her Dating Life

After the deletion of the posts from their social media, speculation about their relationship ended. Lupe has not shared anything suggesting that she is in a romantic relationship and primarily uses her Instagram for work-related purposes.

Speaking to the Independent in March 2023, the "Cristela" actress gave a brief insight into her dating life, saying that the women she worked with in "Succession" had helped her through "some really huge transitions." Those phases included her mother's health issues and the ending of a serious relationship. She added:

"Walking into dating at 33 is a very different thing to dating at 27. It's a different set of thoughts completely. The way that you handle the world, the way you think about what you want and what you care about – it all changed so vastly during that time."

Justine Had a Crush on Her 'Succession' Co-star When She Was a Teenager

Of all the men she has loved, perhaps her greatest love was Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, a character in the famous 2005 romantic drama "Pride and Prejudice," starring Keira Knightley and Donald Sutherland. British actor Matthew Macfadyen portrayed Darcy and quickly became a crush for many girls and women.

During the interview with the Independent, Lupe reportedly blushed at the mention of Macfadyen. She recalled when she watched the film and fell in love with him. A then-17-year-old Lupe went to the movies with her mother, and after being exhilarated by Macfadyen's performance, instantly developed a crush on him.

Over a decade later, the actress met her childhood crush in person while working together on the set of "Succession." The overjoyed Lupe admitted that she told him that she had been "in love with him as Mr. Darcy."
