Kate Was Denied Final Goodbye with Queen Elizabeth So That Megan Couldn't Go Either, Biographer Claims
- According to a royal biographer, Kate desperately wanted to be with Queen Elizabeth II in her final moments.
- However, King Charles reportedly had an agreement with Prince William not to bring his wife to bid farewell to the late monarch so that Meghan couldn't go either.
- Kate was reportedly offended by Meghan because of this reason.
Britain's longest-reigning monarch, who served for seven decades, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away last year in September at Balmoral Castle, UK, aged 96.
Seven months after her tragic demise, new and shocking details have emerged, shedding light on the reported rift in the royal family. Royal author Robert Jobson has shared some eye-opening information about why some people stayed back and weren't allowed to meet Her Majesty.

Jobson revealed that as family members hurried to check on the Queen in the wake of her ailing health, Prince William also seemed worried for his grandmother. But King Charles III reportedly asked his eldest son not to take his wife along to bid farewell to the Queen.
Harry was on a work trip in Europe with his wife when his grandmother passed away.
Per the royal commentator, Charles explained to his son that if Kate didn't go, Meghan couldn't come either and said it wasn't fitting for wives to be with the late ruler in her last moments. But that wasn't all.

Jobson claimed King Charles wished to stop Prince Harry from bringing his wife to meet the Queen, as he would have pressed to take Meghan along if he discovered Kate was already in attendance.
The new British monarch reportedly said that only the kids and grandkids could be with Her Majesty as she prepared for her heavenly abode. But despite Charles emphasizing that it wasn't appropriate for any wife to attend, Sophie Wessex went to Balmoral with her husband, Prince Edward.

Other attendees included King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Princess Anne, and Her Majesty's longtime physician. While the Prince of Wales traveled to Balmoral alongside Prince Edward, Prince Andrew, and Sophie, they couldn't meet the Queen before she took her final breaths.
Sources claim that as relatives came together to comfort each other in the wake of their shared tragedy, King Charles made an agreement with the Prince of Wales.
That very deal reportedly involved keeping the Princess of Wales at home so that Prince William's brother and sister-in-law wouldn't make an unexpected appearance. Harry was on a work trip in Europe with his wife when his grandmother passed away.

How Did Kate React to Staying Back & Not Bidding Farewell to the Queen?
Although Kate purposely stayed behind at Adelaide Cottage and missed out on being with the Queen, she was reportedly outraged. She was pictured leaving Windsor Castle to pick up her kids from school that day, but deep down, all she could think about was not being able to see Her Majesty.
The Princess of Wales watched as her husband joined his dad and other immediate family members to be with his grandma following the doctor's growing concerns regarding her declining health.

And while Kate reportedly fought her desperation not to travel to Balmoral with Prince William, something consumed her from within. In Jobson's words, "That's eaten Kate up and has built up resentment towards Meghan."
Royal author Jobson, whose new book "Our King," will be released soon, has made many other mind-boggling revelations. He claimed that the Prince and Princess of Wales' Windsor walkabout with the Sussexes following the Queen's death was William's idea to show a united front publicly.

William and Kate were joined by Harry and Meghan two days after Queen Elizabeth's death to meet well-wishers and see the floral tributes outside Windsor Castle's gates.
Many thought the four of them had come together in their mutual grief and loss and that their walkabout was a goodwill gesture, but Jobson said it was merely an illusion. Later, Kate, 41, reportedly told a senior royal member that it was one of the most challenging things she had ever done.

What Was Harry's Reaction?
The royal journalist said Prince Harry had insisted on traveling to Scotland with his wife, but his dad told him only the Queen's children and grandchildren could be there.
In other words, Charles reportedly wanted to tell his youngest son that his wife wasn't welcome, but since he couldn't say so, he struck a deal with William and told Kate not to go. By doing so, the new British monarch reportedly wanted things to be fair for Meghan.

In his memoir, "Spare," which came out in January this year, Harry said he found out about his grandma's death from the BBC website after reaching Scotland.
Following the official statement issued by Buckingham Palace announcing the Queen's worsening health condition, both Harry and Meghan planned to travel to Scotland. But when King Charles learned about their trip, he was said to have called his son.

The Duke of Sussex recalled his father telling him he was welcome to meet his grandmother, provided he came without his wife. He said his dad gave several justifications, which made no sense, after which he stated that nobody's wife would be in attendance, not even Kate, so it was best that Meghan stayed back.
When he finally saw his beloved grandma on her deathbed, he plucked up the strength to go near her and whispered something in her ear. Prince Harry said he told his grandmother that he hoped she would be delighted to join Prince Philip in the heavens, who died in 2021.

Harry, 38, will meet his brother, William, 40, during their father's coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6. This will reportedly be the first time the brothers will be seen together since Harry's book came out, where he dubbed his big brother his "arch-nemesis."
Prince Harry, a doting dad of two, has publicly addressed the royals to apologize to him and Meghan for everything the couple reportedly endured during their time in the family.
