One day, passengers were on a flight, minding their business without a care in the world, none anticipating any drama until a man became so annoyed he had to speak up. The unnamed Southwest Airlines passenger had a meltdown that made him go viral on social media.

Proving worse than the child, the man threw an even bigger tantrum than the baby, who was crying uncontrollably as he tried to get his point across. Having planned on a comfortable airplane flight, the passenger was displeased by the baby's constant wailing.

The male was recorded as he screamed and swore at the parents of the child, who wouldn't stop crying on board the flight. Some passengers were left laughing as the man yelled about the baby crying nonstop for almost an hour before the airplane landed in Orlando, Florida.

The drama began when the flight went into a holding pattern outside Palm Beach due to bad weather. A flight attendant even got involved and tried to reason with the upset man, which made the whole ordeal worse.

Man Screams in Protest over Crying Baby

The man went into a tirade directed at the flight staff and the upset child's parents. He noted how the baby had been crying without pause and appeared to be trying to make an unacknowledged plea when he said:

"Calm the child down, please. I'm not screaming. Do you want me to scream? I'll [expletive] scream."

The man swore as he lamented that they were in a "tin can" with a baby in an "echo chamber," and the flight attendant was talking to him about it being okay. But the attendant tried calming the situation and reminded the upset man, "Okay, because you're yelling," to which the man shouted, "So is the baby!"

The flight attendant tried reasoning with the man noting how he was a grown adult, and the man retaliated by questioning if the baby had paid extra to yell! He added how he'd paid for a ticket to have a comfortable flight, but the baby had been crying for 40 minutes of the flight!

When he realized he wasn't getting heard, the passenger swore at the flight attendant and told them to "shut up." The air steward continued to try to calm him by asking him to lower his voice which only angered him more as he screamed:

"Can you lower THAT voice?"

The woman next to the furious man tried to pacify him too, with everyone reminding him he was an adult, but he wasn't interested and insisted the baby's voice had to be lowered because he was "triggered" before swearing at the child! Some flight attendants tried calming the upset passenger, but he was having none of it.

The man was recorded complaining about having worn headphones so he could sleep peacefully but was abruptly woken up by the baby. In fact, throughout the clip, the child's unsettled crying could be heard.

A staff member warned the passenger for swearing, but he yelled about knowing a lawyer and that he had rights! The man even noted that if he hadn't spoken up, all the passengers would've been sitting surrounded by the crying for 45 minutes, which was unfair.

The incident continued with the man being asked to disembark the plane in Orlando, causing the flight's deplaning. The drama continued later when the upset man found himself facing authorities at the terminal.

After security managed to get the man off the plane, he was seen at the Orlando airport terminal surrounded by authorities, including the police. The angry man explained why he felt his actions were justified, including how he shouldn't have been disturbed on the flight in the first place!

Those who followed his story even recorded him being escorted through the airport by police officers. The Orlando police didn't comment on the matter, and it wasn't clear if the man would face charges or any action from Southwest Airlines.

In a statement, the airline said they had no information about the flight but were proud of their staff for keeping things professional. They, however, did apologize to those affected on the flight.

Social media users were left hysterical, with one person joking, "Have we tried swaddling this man?" before saying the man needed "soothing techniques." Someone else noted how the situation had been difficult for everyone involved but thought the irate passenger was "so hilarious" and that all his words were "masterpiece[s]."

Luckily, the other passengers were more compassionate to her and the baby, but the flight was plenty stressful.

In Daily Mail's Facebook post with the caption, "Who's the real baby?" many social media users jumped in to leave their thoughts. One person urged people without young children to "prepare" when flying.

Since it is not unusual for children to act up during a flight, the Facebook user also encouraged passengers to bring eye masks and earplugs with them to help tune the noise out. The same user did not get why some people were so harsh to parents as there was often little they could do to remedy the situation, adding:

Another person echoed the solution of using headphones or earplugs when babies cried, which is often because they were in pain. The person added that parents need not have to worry about other passengers when they were anxious enough about their wailing child, before suggesting:

"If you don't like noise, take something for YOUR ears!!"

Another person shared how they'd experienced the same thing while traveling with their baby on a long flight. The woman doing all she could to calm her baby down, to no avail.

Meanwhile, the passenger next to her "could not stop complaining," causing her more stress. Things got so bad that the mother started crying herself, unaware of how to remedy the situation.

Luckily, other passengers were more compassionate to her and the baby, but the flight was plenty stressful. The woman concluded by noting how unfortunate it was that children weren't born with an "on/off button."
