Does Jack Champion Have a Girlfriend? The Actor Wants to Have Kids & a Family
Jack Champion is one of Hollywood's most promising rising stars and has undoubtedly put in the work. As the young actor becomes a familiar face in high-profile productions, his love life has piqued the interest of many fans, though he remains tight-lipped on details.
English native Jack Champion drew his first breath in November 2004 but grew up in Virginia. He was born to parents who led excelling academic careers but saw no future in holding a Ph.D. or succeeding in sports. So, he gravitated more toward the arts and had his mother's full support.
It was in his pursuit of an acting career, which was already picking up, that he met his first girlfriend not too long ago. In addition to the romance, which remains a mystery, Champion has also built friendships with some of his female co-stars, with whom he hangs out from time to time.
Jack Champion Met His First Girlfriend on a Set
Champion began preparing for his role in "Avatar: The Way of The Water" when he was 13 and spent five years training in parkour, ju-jitsu, and boxing, around the U.S. and other parts of the world. He portrays Spider, a young human previously stranded on the Na'vi's alien planet and subsequently raised by the extraterrestrials.
During that time, Champion wasn't in any romantic relationship. He only met his beau while filming "Retribution" — an action flick led by Liam Neeson and Matthew Modin — in Berlin. However, who the young lady is, when she and Champion met precisely, or how long they remained a couple remains unknown.
Champion finished shooting "Retribution" in August 2021, and the movie will be released sometime this year. A month before filming wrapped, during the Summer of 2021, he posted photos enjoying quality time with his co-star, Lilly Aspell, in the German capital.
Jack Champion Sees Family and Kids in His near Future
In March this year, Champion spoke with Drew Barrymore and Ross Matthews on "The Drew Barrymore Show" about a recent study that found approximately 63 percent of men under 30 were single. The reasons provided for that statistic by these men included "high expectations" and the pressures of online dating.
Many stated that dates felt more like job interviews, which often quelled any romance. Though Champion admitted he hadn't used dating apps like Tinder or similar online platforms, the 18-year-old agreed with the study's findings.
He explained that going on a date nowadays is like "spewing your resume in person" and felt that took away from the "romantic naturalness of it." Nonetheless, he imagined himself settling down one day. In another interview that same month, he stated:
"My main goal in the next eight years would be to be a steady working actor and to have a family. [...] I want to grow old with someone, have a kid, and teach them the lessons of life."
And while the details of his love life currently remain shrouded in mystery, Champion has made good friends with actresses Willa Shaw and Trinity Jo-Li Bliss. Shaw is best known for her performances in the film shorts, "Opa" and "Corky All Grown Up."
It's unknown when she and Champion were acquainted, but she wished him a happy birthday in 2019, referring to him as her "lil bff and buttchin brother." The two hung out the following year in March in Manhattan Beach, California. Bliss is Champion's co-star in "Avatar: The Way of The Water," opposite Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington.
However, the two formed a relationship beyond work; Champion shared a "photo dump" post last September, with pictures featuring Bliss during a weekend in London. When Champion made it to the All-Star list on IMDb, she congratulated him, posting a video montage of clips depicting their sweetest and funniest moments.
Jack Champion's Mom Remains His Number One
The actor hasn't missed an opportunity to credit his mom, a microbiologist, for his success, as he said, "You know, she has always been there for me and remains my number one." Last May, he also thanked her for raising him to be "a functional human being." She helped Champion transition into the acting industry as a kid, finding him a small agent to help build his resume.
