Sam Is an Advocate of Homeschooling

Another topic Sam and Silveus talked about on the show was homeschooling. Sam has homeschooled her three children since her oldest son was in elementary.

Sam wrote a book about homeschooling based on her experiences with her children. Their journey began when Braeden was in second grade, and she felt the teachers were not providing quality education at their local school.

Sam talked to her husband about taking him out of school and giving homeschooling a chance, something she was nervous about but still determined to do. She mentioned realizing that formal education teaches children they cannot do anything if a teacher hasn't formally instructed them.

Sam said that children are born with an inert ability to learn, which is beaten out of them by the government school system, and the system has flaws that make it contract learning. Although she began that journey, Sam said she had moments when she almost gave up, but they only gave her a newfound determination.
