Miranda Lambert asks a pressing question with the title of her cookbook, "Y'all Eat Yet?" The country star has co-written the book with cocktails and dishes dear to her, including her family's go-to dish for when a relationship gets serious.

One of the first meals that Miranda Lambert made her husband, Brendan McLoughlin's family, had to do a lot of heavy lifting. The southern star turned to her mother, Beverly June Lambert's meatloaf, a staple in their clan when anyone is dating someone seriously or bringing a partner home.

She joked that her mom labeled the meatloaf "famous" after it was featured in Southern Living a decade ago as an editor's pick.

Brendan is the cook of their household, but Miranda got a foot in the kitchen door in 2020 when she and a group of women made up of her mom and her mom's friends started a "Chopped" cook-off. Their husbands picked an ingredient a week for them to make a dish they could not Google.

She admits in a promotional social media video that it was" just an excuse to be creative and then drink about it on FaceTime." "Y'all Eat Yet?" is a compilation of their memories and the recipes that help make them. In the lead-up to the book's release, she shared images of the most popular recipes, including the meatloaf.

Miranda refers a lot to her 'Pretty [expletive]' Kitchen' on social media, a nod to her 2019 single. She vaguely explained to Access Hollywood that the term refers to "strong women" who come together in the kitchen, laugh, and drink cocktails

The "If I Was a Cowboy" singer considers herself "very lucky" to have a "husband who loves to cook." The unlikely couple came from different worlds, she was a country superstar with roots in Texas, and he was a New York police officer with "Italian influences."

Three months into their whirlwind romance, Miranda and Brendan got hitched in January 2019. The 39-year-old and her now-retired NYPD officer husband split their time between her Tennessee farm and New York City to be close to his toddler son from a past relationship.

The star's mom, Beverly, thinks her daughter and son-in-law are "just killin' it." She sees Brendan as "a good example of a partner" who "walks beside" his spouse.

Miranda Lambert told PEOPLE in mid-2022 that Brendan McLoughlin took well to her lifestyle and loves her for who she is.
