One Facebook user implied that the bruises were the result of a facelift, while others also claimed they were most likely consequences of various cosmetic surgeries.

Besides getting treatment from Melanie Grant, Griffith has invested in the work the German scientist Dr. Augustinus Bader has been doing over the years. With the help of stem-cell technology and the oxidizing force of anti-inflammatory peptides, Griffith hopes to counteract the negative effects of aging and keep working. She noted:

"It's a different deal when you're older. And we're old. I don't mean it badly, and I don't mean it like, 'Oh, poor me,' or anything like that. It's just a different deal when you're an older person. It's different from being the hot stuff to being the old hot stuff."

She first married the "Miami Vice" star Don Johnsson in 1976 when she was 18. Their marriage didn't last long, and Griffith met the father of her first child, Steven Bauer, shortly after they divorced. In 1988, the actress went to rehab after giving birth to her oldest child, Alexander Bauer, and by the time she got out, Johnson was waiting for her.

The pair had rekindled their old romance, and Johnson was waiting to pick her up and help her on her road to recovery. They tied the knot once more in 1989, and it seemed promising at first. They had a daughter together, Dakota Johnson, but soon, things started falling apart once more, and they went their separate ways.

Banderas also spoke about their relationship, saying that he's still close with Griffith despite not being married anymore. The actor confessed, "I am not married with Melanie anymore but she is my family. She is probably one of my best friends, if not the best friend that I have."
