'American Idol' Winner Trent Harmon Announces His Wife Is Pregnant
"American Idol" champ Trent Harmon is set to make his debut as a father! The singer-songwriter announced his happy news on social media, sharing heartwarming photos with his wife.
Trent Harmon revealed that he and his wife, Kathleen, are expecting their first child together. In an Instagram post, he shared five sun-soaked photos of the couple posing in a field.
Trent kept it casual in a plain T-shirt and dark jeans, while Kathleen exuded romance in a flowing light dress speckled with dainty florals. The joyful snapshots also included ultrasound images of their future child.
In one of the pictures, Trent and his wife hold a charming little dress, hinting at their baby's gender. To further confirm this, Trent captioned the post, "We are so excited to meet you, Baby Girl," followed by a pair of heart emojis.
Kathleen shared additional photos from the same photoshoot on her page a couple of weeks earlier. Since then, she's already posted another maternity shot to commemorate Mother's Day, expressing her anticipation of seeing her own mom become a grandmother.
The "American Idol" alum tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend in the fall of 2019. He announced their marriage with a heartening photo of the couple sharing a kiss in front of the Davidson County Courthouse, where he referred to his significant other as his wife for the first time.
Later, Trent shared a post originally made by Kathleen, revealing that they were keen on avoiding a lengthy long-distance relationship, leading them to wed just a few months after their engagement. Despite their courthouse marriage, they still desired a wedding, which they had planned for spring 2020.
Unfortunately, due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, their wedding was rescheduled to September 12, 2020. Harmon shared an emotional video from their special day, encapsulating the morning preparations, the photo session, and other intimate moments from their wedding celebration.
After the wedding, Kathleen adopted Harmon's last name. She's a first-grade teacher in Nashville and runs her own bakery, crafting cookies, sweets, and cakes. She maintains an active social media presence, with 3,688 followers to date.
Trent Harmon's fame skyrocketed in 2016 when he clinched victory in the 15th season of "American Idol." He reportedly signed a contract with Big Machine Records following his win and continues to produce music today.
