He noted that children moving out of home was always harder for moms than it was for dads. However, he said that when it came to him, "there were a lot of tears."

Tim also said he helped Gracie get to Los Angeles when she moved out, "I drove cross-country with her. I took all the seats out of my Cadillac Escalade and loaded it up with all of her stuff."

The singer, who has been promoting his new album, said driving his daughter to another state was a bonding experience for them, but it was also challenging:

"When I dropped her off, I just lost it. And then I had to drive home all by myself. I was crying the whole time."

The "I Need You" singer said his new album would include a new song about the challenging and teary moment when he had to let his daughter leave home.

Tim said the emotional song in his new album was written by his guitar player Bob Minner. He noted that he called Bob when he was driving back home, and they had a heart-to-heart talk about the experience. Bob decided to write a song based on his trip to Los Angeles.

The singer and his wife Faith Hill are now empty nesters after their youngest daughter Audrey also left home. The couple admitted that it was difficult for them to adjust to living without their kids at home. Tim said:

"You're used to getting up in the morning, taking kids to school, going to softball practices and basketball practices and cheerleader practices and all of a sudden all that's gone when your last one leaves."

Tim said he missed his daughter Faith as she would always come back from school and make sure something was cooking. He added that he missed having his kids come home and smell what Faith was preparing, as they would always be excited about having dinner together. "I miss their energy," he confessed.

The "Humble and Kind" singer said there was a time their house hosted about 15 teenage girls who would talk about boys and everything going on in their lives. But now things have changed as much as they are still close with their kids and talk all the time. He added:

"But it's difficult when your kids leave. All of a sudden, they don't need you as much anymore. And I think it's probably more difficult for Mom."

Faith also opened up about their empty nest. She noted that she was grateful their children still wanted to spend time with them. She revealed that one Thanksgiving, Audrey and Faith spent the day at their home in Nashville cooking.

Tim's daughters visited their parents when they were shooting the "1883" series, a prequel to "Yellowstone." Tim revealed that their daughters were "Yellowstone" fans and were excited to ride horses and watch their parents work together when they visited them on set. He said:

"I think they're pretty proud of it and it makes us happy that they can be excited about something we're doing together."

The couple's daughter love to spend special occasions with their parents even though they have moved out of their home. The girls joined Tim and Faith when they celebrated their 25th anniversary.

Gracie recently went to a movie screening looking gorgeous in vintage wear. She shared pictures from the outing where she wore a transparent brown lace dress. The dress was a deep plunge and had black and white embroidery on the cleavage opening.

Gracie's underwear was visible in the see-through dress. She styled the dress with a red leather jacket and brown knee-high boots. The 26-year-old captioned the photo:

"Last night in clothes my mom let me have, clutching my movie ticket to ground me from my own inner monologue….wishing I was wearing smaller underwear…."
