"Dallas" emerged as a must-watch TV series in the 1980s, captivating audiences with its gripping storyline and unforgettable characters. Focusing on the affluent Ewing family, Texan oil barons entangled in a world of fast living, double-crossing, and rivalries with the Barnes family, the show left a lasting impression on viewers.

Running for 14 seasons from 1978 to 1991, the series became synonymous with household names, though the cast members themselves may have amassed a different level of individual fame.

A charity event in Paris in 2010 brought about a memorable encounter where Kanaly, Larry Hagman, Charlene Tilton, and Patrick Duffy had to be protected by security due to the overwhelming attention from well-wishers and paparazzi.

In April 2018, Kanaly shared a memorable photo with Duffy, Tilton, and Linda Gray to ring in the show's 40th anniversary. The four actors beamed joyfully as they posed for the camera, displaying their incredible bond. "Ray. Lucy. Bobby. Sue Ellen. The Dallas 40th anniversary," read the caption.

Forty five years since its debut, "Dallas" continues to be celebrated as one of the greatest soap operas in history. The show's undeniable influence, coupled with its intriguing narratives and the unforgettable question of "Who shot J.R.?" enthralled audiences long before their familiarity with shows like "Breaking Bad" and "Game of Thrones."

The show's legacy was so strong that it earned four Emmys during its run, leading to a reboot series in 2012 featuring both new and original cast members. Although the TNT series was canceled after three seasons in 2014, it served as a testament to the enduring impact and fascination with the world of "Dallas."

However, the revival was marked by the tragic loss of Larry Hagman, who portrayed the iconic J.R. Ewing. His death in November 2012 deeply saddened his co-stars and supporters. Despite their crippling loss, the "Dallas" stars continue to cherish their time together and share a special connection.
