The musician's rare red carpet outing with his wife turned heads, but not just for the usual reasons.

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo stepped out together on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the 12th Breakthrough Prize ceremony at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. They immediately made fans start talking, but it was Levine's face that had everyone doing a double-take.

The couple made a rare joint appearance at the event, widely referred to as the "Oscars of Science," which honors scientists across a range of fields for groundbreaking research and discoveries.

Levine arrived looking polished in a dark suit jacket and trousers paired with a light blue button-down shirt, but no tie. His clean-shaven face and short hair, showing just a touch of salt-and-pepper, gave him a noticeably fresh look, though it's not exactly youth that fans are attributing the change to.

The photos set off a flurry of reactions, with many netizens pointing to what they believe is cosmetic work. On Reddit, one person wrote, "Did he get something done? His face looks different." Another added, "What has he done to his face? Oh wow."

Others were harsher. One person wrote, "That Botox working overtime [sic]," and another added, "He's def [sic] had some work done."

Interestingly, Levine himself once leaned into the idea of getting better with age, though in a more lighthearted way. Back in 2019, when he turned 40, the Maroon 5 frontman made a playful comment that might be interpreted a little differently now.

"I feel like I'm Benjamin Button-ing. I feel younger and less mature, better-looking and just overall more youthful," he told People at the time, referencing the Brad Pitt film in which a man ages backwards. "Maybe I was born old!"

Whether that Benjamin Button energy is all-natural or has had a little help, fans clearly had opinions.

Interestingly, the outing comes just days after Levine made headlines for a completely different reason. On April 14, People exclusively confirmed that the now 47-year-old has signed on to coach Season 30 of "The Voice," set to air this fall.

"I will be back," Levine said. "I'm having so much fun doing it. Since I came back a few seasons ago, it's just been a blast, and I'm super happy to keep it going as long as they'll have me."

Season 30 will mark his 19th season on the show. He was part of the inaugural cast and coached for 16 consecutive seasons before stepping away in May 2019, later explaining he needed distance from the grind of television.

"Doing it for so long, so consistently, for almost eight or nine years of my life, you can definitely start to get burnt," the "This Love" singer said of his original departure.

He returned for Season 27, explaining that "the stars aligned" and "it hadn't felt right until now." After sitting out Season 28, he came back for Season 29, which his contestant Alexia Jayy went on to win.

His previous wins include Season 1 with Javier Colon, Season 5 with Tessanne Chin, and Season 9 with Jordan Smith.

With a new season ahead and a red carpet appearance that has the internet buzzing, Adam Levine is clearly back in the spotlight in more ways than one.
