In his recent "BBC Breakfast" interview, the "I Don't Want to Talk About It" singer talked about his plans, saying, "Everything has to come to an end sooner or later."
He also revealed that he "wanted to leave all the rock 'n' roll stuff behind" because he was interested in exploring other genres. He said he wasn't retiring.

In an interview on the "Chris Evans Breakfast Show," Stewart talked about his upcoming tour, revealing that his performances this year would be the last of their kind.

"I'm not going to do rock 'n' roll tours anymore," the singer stated. However, quitting a specific genre of music tour did not mean he was ending his career. He said he wouldn't retire because that wasn't "in his blood."
When the host asked him about his music tours, Stewart said he loved what he did, except that his work made him stay away from his children. He also revealed the secret to his fitness―a trainer who helps him work out up to four times a week.
To further clear the confusion regarding his career and retirement, Stewart took to his social media to keep his fans updated. He clearly stated that he would "never retire" before explaining his plans.
He stated that he would move towards band/swing music after finishing his tours that are already planned this year. The "Forever Young" singer was excited to share his new project with his fans.
While stating he wasn't quitting his career, Stewart explained his feelings about his songs. He said his albums were as dear to him as his kids, and he would never stop singing them. It was just that he wanted to switch to a different genre now.
