After the heartache Gifford suffered in losing her husband, their daughter has given her a new lease on life with the arrival of her new baby. Cassidy Gifford took to Instagram to announce the birth of her son.

Cassidy posted a photo of her newborn son's foot in her hand and announced that his name was Finn Thomas Wierda and that he had entered the world on June 24, 2023. She gushed:

"We are so madly in love with you, buddy. Thank you, Lord, for this most precious gift."

Gifford responded to the post by sharing her excitement at welcoming her new grandchild into the world. She started by saying her daughter and her partner were "a wonder," and their love for one another was awe-inspiring.

Gifford shared that the love Cassidy and her partner have for one another is expressed beautifully in how they care for their newborn son. She also said the little boy was the best of both his parents.

The TV host praised God for the gift of her grandson and rejoiced with and for her daughter on the momentous occasion of becoming a mother.

Gifford also took to Twitter to share how she felt about becoming a grandmother to little Finn. Quoting a bible verse, she shared:

"Grandchildren are the crowning glory to the aged; parents are the pride of their children. Proverbs 17:6. Father God, I am rejoicing with my daughter, Cassidy, and her wonderful husband, Ben, at the birth of their absolutely precious Finn Thomas."

Gifford's fans, friends, and colleagues took to the post's comments section to congratulate her on the baby's birth and becoming a grandmother. Gifford then got to spend some quality time with the little one.

Gifford Already Babysits Finn Days After Birth

Days after Finn was born, Gifford shared a photo of herself holding the little boy. She mentioned it was a joy to spend time with him as she held him in her arms and gazed lovingly down at him.

She wished all her followers a happy July 4 and said she felt like the most blessed woman in the world. Once again, fans, friends, and colleagues wished the family well.
