Jennifer, who spoke to InStyle, revealed that when Violet was born, Ben would spend hours cuddling her and would sleep with Violet in his arms. "Violet prefers him to anyone," she admitted, then added:

"He's a teddybear of a guy. Nothing makes me happier than to see the two of them together and her little hands on his face. He has a prevailing calm."

When Violet started to grow up and attend school, she became more like her father. The actress said Violet was hyperarticulate like Ben.

One time, when Jennifer gathered other celebrity moms to discuss how they could get better protection for their children, Violet, who was still in kindergarten, offered to share her feelings.

Dressed in a red velvet dress, she got on a chair, looked at the present mothers with her hair drawn back and her glasses on, and said she didn't like being chased by the paparazzi because they were scary men:

Years after Violet spoke out, Jennifer testified in front of the California State Assembly Committee on Public Safety and supported a bill to protect the kids of celebrity parents. The bill was signed into law in 2014.

A journalist interviewing Jennifer also said Violet was a courageous and kind girl. The journalist revealed that Violet and her daughter went to the same school. As per the journalist, her daughter had just gone through an ugly mean-girl episode and was trying not to cry in a cafeteria.

Violet encountered the journalist's daughter in a line and saw that she wasn't comfortable. Jennifer's daughter asked the girl if she was okay and managed to turn the journalist's daughter's mean-girl episode into a touch of kindness and grace.
