Is Adam DeVine Gay? The Actor Is an LGBTQ+ Ally Though He Is Straight
Adam DeVine has turned to social media to show his support for the LGBTQ community and revealed that he is flattered by the love he receives from his gay followers. However, while he appreciates his gay supporters, Adam DeVine is not gay and is happily married to a woman.
Since starring in Comedy Central's "Workaholics" — which RuPual joked was "the gayest show" he had ever seen — to producing "Game Over, Man!," which also had gay themes, Adam DeVine has become a fan favorite among the LGBTQ community.
The actor has challenged Hollywood to create more movies with gay roles and opened up about how he achieves gay humor and avoids offending the LGBTQ community. However, Adam DeVine is straight and has been in a loving relationship with his partner Chloe Bridges, for many years.

Adam DeVine's Earliest Exposure to the LGBTQ Community through Family
While he has garnered a large LGBTQ following over the years, during an interview, DeVine revealed that he was much younger when his cousin came out as gay, leading to the actor's earliest exposure to the LGBTQ community. The actor said:
"He came out to the family, and then we all knew, and then you'd see him at holidays and stuff, and it was cool. You're like, 'Oh, I love my cousin; he's the man; he's a great guy.' It normalized the whole thing."
Since then, DeVine has regularly voiced his support of the LGBTQ community. In 2018, the actor celebrated pride month with an Instagram post that read in part, "To all my gay friends out there! Stay prideful! [...] Love ya'll, and stay safe!" He commemorated Pride Month in 2019 and shared, "To all my gay friends out there, have a happy and safe Pride Week!"
Adam DeVine Has Covered Gay Themes in His Projects and Urged Hollywood to Create More Gay Films
Throughout his career, DeVine has tackled gay themes in his projects, including homoerotic humor, such as the "Gayborhood" episode in "Workaholics." And the actor revealed that he always had his LGBTQ audiences in mind. He said:
"As straight white males, it's easy to offend people and not even realize it, so we wanted to make sure that was coming from the best possible place. We felt like people really liked that episode and understood that we were only making fun of our idiotic characters."
He also urged Hollywood to release more films representing the LGBTQ community in a way that wasn't entirely centered around struggle. "I want to see a movie about two gay guys where being gay is not the main issue in their lives. I want to see them on a completely different journey that has nothing to do with them being gay," DeVine said.

Adam DeVine Is Happily Married to a Fellow Hollywood Star
DeVine — who has shared the screen with Zac Efron, Rebel Wilson, and Alexandra Daddario — married his girlfriend of many years, Chloe Bridges, during a star-studded wedding in Mexico in October 2021.
During that time, comedian and actor Erik Griffin took to Instagram to share how "awesome" the wedding was and captioned the post in part, "Devine is off the market!"
The couple met on a plane to film "The Final Girls" in 2014 and had immediate chemistry. Shortly after meeting, they began dating, and in October 2019, Adam DeVine and Bridges announced their engagement.
