Kathy paid homage to the late fashion designer Oscar de la Renta in 2014. She recalled their fond memories together at his home in Santo Domingo and wrote about enjoying "wonderful cocktail parties and special events." She added:

"I will always treasure this wonderful time in my life. You are a true legend in the fashion world. You will be missed. I only wish that wedding dress you made for George Clooney's wife would have been for me - ha!"

In May 2017, Kathy posted a picture of her and Cher and revealed she and the musical legend became friends in the '80s and that the "Strong Enough" singer is as "amazing" now as she was then.

In 2017, Chloe confirmed in a tweet that she is half white and half Latina. And in 2022, she joined Judy Reyes, Justina Machado, Xochitl Gomez, and other Latina actresses at the White House in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

In December 2021, Kathy was one of the 90 guests at her daughter's wedding in Mexico to "Isn't It Romantic" actor Adam DeVine. However, the actress's mom has taken to social media to prove that Adam was considered part of the family before that.

Since as far back as December 2018, Adam has joined Kathy and Chloe for wholesome Christmas photos. In 2019, Kathy and her mother matched in red shirts as Adam posed in a green golf shirt for their Christmas family portrait.

In December 2021, Kathy shared a picture of herself smiling with Adam and Chloe again, and in December 2022, Kathy celebrated the festive season with another photo of her, Chloe, and Adam.
