Lisa Marie Presley's autopsy report, released by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, has revealed her death in January resulted from complications related to a small bowel obstruction. This blockage in the small intestine, commonly caused by factors such as scar tissue, hernia, or cancer, can be life-threatening if left untreated.

The report also highlights the expert opinion of deputy medical examiner Dr. Juan M. Carrillo, who identified the development of scar tissue (adhesions) after bariatric surgery as a long-term complication contributing to the small bowel obstruction.

Bariatric surgery is a surgical procedure that facilitates weight loss by modifying the individual's digestive system. It is typically considered when conventional methods like diet and exercise have proven ineffective or when significant health problems arise due to excessive weight.

According to reports, Lisa led a secluded lifestyle and faced difficulties accepting her son's death. The singer grappled with finding solace amidst the anguish caused by the tragic loss of her son, Benjamin Keough. Benjamin tragically died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at Lisa's residence, which she had bought three months before the incident.

Lisa's life changed after losing her son, and she found setting foot in their shared home unbearable. The emotional toll led her to make the difficult decision of selling the house merely five months after Benjamin's tragic passing. The memories and pain associated with the residence made it impossible for her to continue residing there.

After the singer-songwriter's passing, a legal dispute arose among family members regarding her estate. However, the family resolved the matter and reached a settlement.

Lisa's daughter, Riley Keough, assumed the role of the sole trustee of her estate, taking on the responsibility of managing her assets. Lisa's half-brother, Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, was also granted a share of 1/9 of Lisa's Trust as part of the settlement.
