Born in 1995 in Zuid-Holland, Netherlands, Josha Stradowski began his acting career on stage as a pre-teen. He appeared in many Dutch theatrical productions, including "Kuifje: De Zonnetempel" and "Ciske de Rat."

He honed his craft at several institutions, studying at Lucia Marthas Performance Academy, CodArt, and graduating with a Bachelor's in Acting at the AHK Theater School in Amsterdam.

The young actor received his first prominent role in the long-running drama series "Spangas," playing Pascal Roozen between 2011 and 2012. More gigs came in the following years, with hiatuses in between.

In 2018, Josha Stradowski starred in the queer romcom, "Just Friends," which grew his fanbase considerably. However, it wasn't the first time he played a queer character. That same year, he starred in a stage production called "Bromance."

In "Just Friends," viewers meet Joris, played by Stradowski, and Yad, played by Majd Mardo, two young men from somewhat complicated family dynamics who fall in love. The film earned many awards at several LGBTQ-centered film festivals and garnered much praise on social media.

One fan tweeted on a now-deleted publication, "If y'all wanna watch Josha Stradowski being a disaster gay for an hour and a half, 'Just Friends' is free watching on Amazon, just sayin'." Another wrote, "Just a smidge of drama, and otherwise a really happy, positive queer movie. MORE MOVIES LIKE THIS, PLEASE."

Stradowski's other queer role comes from "Bromance." The play follows the story of two best friends living in a village whose world completely changes when a handsome young man from the city moves into town.

A prevalent theme of the play, though not the main one, is the exploration of homosexuality. "There is a clear homosexual line in it, but all three characters still remain unclear what they are precise. It is precisely about that research," said the play's director, Timothy Gilde.

Is Josha Stradowski Gay? That Remains Unknown

Although he has played queer roles, Stradowski hasn't spoken about his sexuality, and the same has gone for his dating life. The TV star has an active social media presence, but at the time of writing, his pages showed no signs of a current romance.

More than anything, his online pages mainly consisted of work-related content, including screengrabs of scenes from his shows, trailers, and photoshoots. From his posts, it also appears he enjoys spending time outdoors.

Stradowski plays Rand al'Thor in "The Wheel of Time," a young man who goes from herding sheep with his father to pursuing his destiny as the Dragon Reborn: defeating the Dark One. However, although he succeeds, his victory comes with a dark twist.

The Amazon Prime series, also starring "Gone Girl" star Rosamund Pike, began airing in 2021. The second season will be released later in 2023. In the meantime, fans can catch Stradowski in "Gran Turismo," sharing the screen with David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, and Darren Barnet.
