Man Comes Home Early to Surprise Pregnant Partner, Throws Her Out on the Cold Street Right After

A young man realized that his job caused a lot of distrust and paranoia in his pregnant girlfriend and decided to surprise her with a romantic gesture, but it did not end well.

A 27-year-old male shared on Reddit that he and his 26-year-old girlfriend had been dating for eight years. Their relationship was sometimes flawed, but they did their best to make it work.

The major problem the couple seemed to face was that the boyfriend was busy and traveled a lot for work. The constant trips brewed distrust between them, and especially the the girlfriend who constantly questioned her boyfriend's every move.

The man tried his best to assure his girlfriend, and in his attempt to prove himself, he was faced with the shocking truth about the woman he one day planned on making his wife.

The Boyfriend Tried to Regain Her Trust

Whenever the boyfriend was on a business trip, his girlfriend constantly accused him of cheating. But any time she brought up these accusations, he assured her he was not and even decided to stop drinking to avoid temptations.

The boyfriend figured his girlfriend's paranoia was intensified by her pregnancy. She called him frantically in one instance because he had replied to a text fast enough.

Again, he did his best to calm her and clear the suspicions. But the distrust made him worry about the future of his relationship. So he made up for the misunderstanding with a romantic gesture.

He returned from work early and bought flowers and tickets to a movie she had longed to watch. The boyfriend also had a ring, as he planned to pop the question.

When he got to the house, he found an unfamiliar car outside the home. He did not make anything of it as one of his girlfriend's friends had recently gotten their license. As he opened the door, he heard music playing, which he thought was weird because he remembered her not liking loud music.

He eventually got to the bedroom and could not believe his eyes. "As I came upstairs and entered the bedroom, I saw something I thought I'd never seen[sic] in a million years," he recalled. He found his girlfriend with another man in bed.

Without getting into too much detail about what he did to the man, he only said the man was out of the house in 15-20 minutes. After the man left, he and his girlfriend got into a heated discussion, to the point where he packed her belongings, threw her out in the rain, and told her never to return.

The boyfriend knew he was wrong to kick out his pregnant girlfriend in such a situation, but he explained that his emotions influenced him. Nonetheless, he turned to Reddit users to understand if he was wrong in how he handled the situation.

What Happened after He Kicked Her Out?

Since the incident, the boyfriend wrote an update and said he had taken time off work but spent an entire week drinking his heartbreak away.

Without getting into the technicalities of whether he was wrong or not, most Reddit users gave the heartbroken boyfriend advice. The first one was that he needed to stop drinking, and another that many more users suggested was to get a paternity test.

People also told him to get therapy and inform his family about the incident. But others believed his girlfriend's suspicions were rooted in her guilt for cheating; therefore, it was also suggested that he get an STD test.

In another update on the same post, the boyfriend said he had started going to therapy and given the bottle a break. He thanked all the commenters who left him an encouraging message and gave him advice.
