Sandra Bullock’s Partner’s Daughter Now Complete Orphan — She Has Dad’s Eyes and Was Abandoned as a Child
- Sandra Bullock is mourning after losing her longtime partner and her children's co-parent, Bryan Randall.
- The actress had one child and adopted another soon after she and Randall started dating.
- Now Randall's biological daughter is an orphan.
On August 5, 2023, the sad news of Bryan Randall's death was revealed by his family. The photographer, who was Sandra Bullock's longtime boyfriend, passed on after battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) privately, with his family revealing he'd fought it for three years.
However, his family members noted how he'd passed away peacefully. Randall decided to take on the disease privately, and those close to him did their best to honor his request. They thanked the medical professionals who did all they could.

Bullock and her late boyfriend might not have married, but they co-parented their children together. The actress even spoke highly of her partner and their co-parenting process in a past interview.
How Sandra and Bryan Ended Up Being Co-parents
In his previous relationship, Randall welcomed a daughter named Skylar Staten, 29. In January 2015, he and Bullock became official, and he took her son, Louis, as his own after the actress adopted him in 2010.
In 2015, the "Miss Congeniality" star adopted her second child, daughter Laila, shortly after she and Randall started dating. During a Red Table Talk appearance in 2021, the celebrity revealed how she had informed the photographer about her bringing another child home and didn't ask for his consent.

Bullock said her boyfriend was scared but happy about the news. The photographer, described as a "beautiful human being," only wanted to support and help the actress; she shared that he was the example she wished her children to have.

During the sit-down with Jada Pinkett Smith and her daughter Willow Smith, Bullock referred to her boyfriend as a "saint" and noted how he'd evolved unnaturally.

Louis' mother confessed that co-parenting was hard, and in March 2022, she announced she was taking a break from her career to focus on her home life.
How Bryan's Daughter Became an Orphan
For Staten, losing her father is the latest tragedy in her life, filled with illegal substances, loss, and abandonment. Staten initially had to deal with the loss of her mother, Janine, and other family tragedies before Randall put his life on track and started seeing Bullock.
The former model met Staten's mother in the early 1990s while in rehabilitation and living in Oregon. A friend recalled how the couple used illegal substances, noting that after their daughter was born in September 1993, Randall was hardly around.
A former roommate said Janine moved on and raised their daughter but backslid into using illegal substances after meeting another man who was also an addict. The insider knew Staten's mother due to her affair with their husband, causing their marriage to dissolve.
The mother-daughter pair often found themselves between homes, but Staten was always well-behaved. The ex-roommate described Janine's daughter as intelligent and beautiful, but sometimes her circumstances often left her confused.
The Oscar Award-winning actress once explained why she and Staten's father never married.
Randall's daughter never threw tantrums despite her background. On January 4, 2007, Staten's mother died unexpectedly, and she was sent to live in Oregon with Perri Johnson, her grandmother.
The pal noted how Staten's mother struggled for a long time before dying tragically. The young woman's grandmother followed soon after, and now she's left as an orphan after losing her father. The family friend stated:
"Skylar has gone through so much in her young life."
The source believed Johnson died from heartbreak after losing Janine. Randall's daughter was then sent to live in Los Angeles with her estranged father, and he got clean and became more involved in her life as she started schooling in the city.
After working as a model, Bullock's boyfriend started Bryan Randall Photography. He met her in 2015 when the actress hired him to take pictures at Louis' birthday party, but like father like daughter, Staten chose to remain private after her father started dating the celebrity.
Randall's daughter relocated to Arizona to attend college but eventually moved back to Los Angeles and is an aspiring model. Losing her father is yet another heartbreak she has to deal with, and a family friend said their heart went out to the young woman.
For her part, Bullock revealed that she'd gone through a divorce and finally found "the love of her life" in Randall, and they shared three children, including his older daughter, and it was the best thing ever. The Oscar Award-winning actress once explained why she and Staten's father never married.
The "Ocean's 8" star believed she didn't require a paper to prove her devotion to him or their children. Perhaps Bullock has stepped in to help console Randall's daughter, who's lost so much at such a young age.
