A parent took to Reddit to ask his fellow netizens if he was in the wrong when there was an incident between his son and his teacher. He began by sharing that he received a call from his child's school, explaining that his child had fainted during class. The dad shared that he had taught his son what steps to take if he felt like he was about to pass out.

However, the Redditor stated that when he arrived to pick his son up, he was confused as the nurse informed him that his child had hit his head when he passed out. The father found this perplexing as if his son had followed his instructions; he wouldn't likely have been hurt when he fainted.

A Dismissive Teacher

The following day, the poster reported that he asked his son why he hadn't taken the correct actions, only to discover information that the Redditor claimed made him extremely angry. He explained that his son made numerous attempts to reach out for help.

When he first felt faint, he attempted to let the educator know by standing up. But she shouted at him to get back in his seat. When he tried again, the father reported that the teacher claimed he looked fine and couldn't go to the school nurse.

This continued when his son asked to sit out of a lesson requiring the students to be active. The educator, the dad said, accused her son of being lazy and finding a way to get out of learning. His companion attempted to help by talking to the teacher, who said they were making excuses not to participate.

A Worried Father

This was when his son fainted, the father said, and was told by other students that the teacher looked stunned and surprised. He expressed:

"I'm extremely worried about the impact this will have on my son, as when the fainting first started he didn't tell any of his teachers as he was scared that they were going to yell at him, this resulted in quite a few injuries from falling."

The Redditor conveyed that his son took a significant amount of time to get comfortable enough to speak to his teachers about his fainting when it was about to occur. But, now that the incident had happened with his teacher, it made him apprehensive that his son would again feel uncomfortable speaking up when feeling faint, leading to more possible injuries.

Anger, Tears, And Moral Reflection

The father eventually went down to the school, where he spoke to the principal. Who consequently brought the teacher in question into the office. The Redditor stated that this teacher denied what his son reported, which infuriated him. He expressed:

"I was [angry], I began to scream at her."

He said he was so angry that he didn't notice her in tears. Reflecting on his decision, the Redditor wondered if he was wrong for screaming at the educator. He explained that while some individuals, such as his companions and wife, think what he did was justified, other people in his life questioned the morality of his actions.

Do you think the father was justified, or was he too harsh with the educator? While it would be great if we lived in a black-and-white world, doing what is right isn't always straightforward.
