Whether you know her for sharing the small screen with Matthew Broderick in "Painkiller" or her multiple silver screen projects, Dina Shihabi has made a name for herself as a trailblazer in the acting scene. However, prying eyes — including an interest in her love life — have come with the territory.

At the time of writing, it remained unconfirmed whether or not Dina Shihabi had a boyfriend. However, the actress has recently celebrated becoming a mother and has set her sights on climbing the ranks as an actress and representing her people as she does it.

Earlier this year, Shihabi posed for the cover of Vogue Arabia's Saudi issue and flaunted her growing baby bump. The actress has since welcomed her bundle of joy, and during an interview, she opened up about how motherhood had impacted her ability to perform during one of her projects. However, Shihabi added:

"It felt very natural to me to have a baby and a decision that has brought more love into my life than I ever could have imagined. I have so much more to give now as a woman, partner, mother, and artist."

At the time of writing, the identity of the father of Shihabi's baby remained a mystery. Not only did the actress refrain from discussing her dating life, but she also left no clues or indications of having a boyfriend on social media.

Dina Shihabi on Representing Her Arabic Culture

Shihabi was born in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and spent the first seven years of her childhood there before relocating to Dubai. When the actress was 18, she traveled even further, to New York, and chased her dreams of becoming an actress.

Shihabi recalled feeling as if she needed to conceal her Arabic culture once on American soil — having to put on an American accent, never saying her last name, or proving she wasn't the "bad person" that came with negative stereotypes about people from the Middle East.

However, the actress has not only proudly embraced her Arabic culture, but she has been the face of her people in many films. "I think it's important for people to see us onscreen the way we are," the actress shared.

Dina Shihabi's Father Publically Shamed Her for Having a Sex Scene

Aside from sharing the screen with actor and longtime acquaintance Mamoudou Athie in "Archive-81" — which the actress said was an emotional experience for the both of them — Shihabi has also appeared alongside John Krasinski in Amazon's series "Jack Ryan."

She plays a terror boss's wife in the show and films a raunchy scene with her co-star. However, following the release of the steamy episode, Dina Shihabi's father did not have kind words for his daughter's performance.

In a now-deleted tweet, the actress's father expressed his disapproval of the scene, which featured no nudity other than a shot of Shihabi's bare behind.
