John Krasinski's Brothers - Both Are Successful in Their Careers

John Krasinski's brothers, Paul and Kevin Krasinski, may not be in show business, but they have led successful careers in their chosen fields. One chose entrepreneurship, while the other followed in his parents' footsteps.

John Krasinski catapulted to stardom when he starred in the beloved NBC show "The Office," playing Jim Halpert between 2005 and 2013. Cementing his Hollywood status, John was not only acting in high-profile films, but he was also working behind the scenes.

Some of his most notable credits include directing several episodes in "The Office" and the "A Quiet Place" film franchise. John has received much acclaim for his successes, but his older brothers, Paul and Kevin Krasinski, also lead noteworthy careers.

John Krasinski and His Brothers Are from Medical Professionals' Family

Kevin is the eldest of his siblings, followed by Paul, then John. The Krasinski brothers were raised in Newton, Massachusetts, and they played basketball in high school; however, John once admitted that he was "not the best." Towering at 6'3", John was also the shortest brother, as he revealed:

"I'm 6'3-ish and my brothers are 6'8 and 6'9, so as you can sort of surmise, I was not the best basketball player in my family"

Their father worked as a General Practitioner, while their mother, an Irish American, was a nurse in a nutritional center at Tufts University. Their father was also of Polish descent, and John once took the Krasinski patriarch to Poland to learn more about their ancestry.

The actor—who co-starred with Amy Ryan and Mindy Kaling in "The Office"—had acquired the services of Ancestry.com to help trace his roots, and the organization helped uncover four generations of the Krasinski clan. After recounting the trip's events, John described it as one of the "most emotional experiences" of his life.

Kevin followed in his parent's footsteps, pursuing a medical career as a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon at EmergeOrtho, specializing in sports medicine. He attained his undergraduate degree at Colgate University, majoring in Biology.

He then moved to Tufts University in 1998 and graduated with his medical degree in 2002. In addition to working at EmergeOrtho in the Triangle Region, Kevin is an Orthopaedic Surgery Team Physician and Consultant at Burlington Royals.

John Krasinski's Brother, Paul Krasinski, Is a Tech Mogul

Paul graduated from Brown University with a qualification in Organisational Behavior and Management in 1998 before moving to Columbia Business School, where he received his MBA. He worked for several media companies afterward, including Ando Media and Metro Networks.

In August 2016, Paul founded his enterprise Epicenter Experience in the Greater Boston Area. He also became a philanthropist, dedicated to advancing the lives of the youth. He acquired a retreat in Plymouth, Massachusetts, called The Farmhouse.

There, he operates an initiative that offers young people guidance in their personal and professional lives, with the primary goal of helping them discover their passions. Speaking about his "passion project," Paul said:

"Until now, there really hasn't been a place where people who are struggling to find their path could go and interact with others just like them. The Farmhouse is this place."

The Farmhouse also has a non-profit component, The Farmhouse Inc., to which Paul donated over $2 million as a jumpstart for the project. Besides his entrepreneurial and philanthropic endeavors, Paul is also a family man.

Like John and his wife, actress Emily Blunt—the couple shares two daughters, Violet Krasinski and Hazel Krasinski—Paul is married and is a father of two young boys. Per his Facebook profile, he and his family currently live in Boston.

He frequently shares pictures of his family on his page, filling his timeline with those of his boys and wife. Furthermore, the family of four seems to enjoy outdoor activities, including beach days, camping, and sports.
