Woman Stands by Fiance's Side after Camping Trip & Bans Her Dad, Uncle, Brother, and Cousin from Wedding

A 22-year-old woman would soon marry the love of her life and have her family in attendance. However, her male family members would pull pranks on him and pressure him to answer questions that tested his morality and mental health. They went overboard when they hid the medicine for his sickness.

Growing up in a family where men pranked and teased each other often, a woman didn't put much meaning into her family pranking her 23-year-old fiance, Tim.

Her dad, uncle, brother, and cousin would test Tim with mental, moral, and physical challenges to see what type of man he was. For the mental challenge, Tim had to play chess four times consecutively.

For his moral challenge, they asked him questions on social issues, including gender equality and abortion. They even asked him about Jesus and overwhelmed him with hypothetical situations to know more about his thought process and thinking.

They secretly slashed his tires for his physical test to see if Tim would call for someone else to do it or be brave enough to fix it himself. They also took him out to go hunting and fishing.

Unfortunately, Tim is asthmatic and cannot exhaust himself as much as others could. Still, he joined his fiancee's family whenever possible, while they called him soft and slow, using his asthma as an excuse for things.

While the woman already told them to stop, her father claimed it was normal for men to do such things. One day, they took Tim out on a supposedly three-day trip. When Tim wasn't looking, the other boys hid his asthma inhaler, which could have complicated his sickness and put his life on the line.

Tim returned home after a few hours and told his fiancee what had happened with her family, and she was furious. She narrated:

"I exploded on them when they returned. Cousin asked if 'Little Timmy ran to me to tattle.' I yelled that all four of them are uninvited to my wedding."

The woman's family members reacted differently to the situation. The woman's brother was alarmed and defended their actions, claiming it was a prank and that they were going to give the inhaler back.

The woman's father agreed to apologize if his daughter wanted. However, they already lost the ounce of respect they had tor Tim and see him as nothing more than a "'soft college kid' who's not up for the challenge," the woman said.

The woman's uncle has since been quiet, while her cousin wants a chance to talk and explain himself. Meanwhile, her father was furious and involved the woman's mother.

Her mom said she was making the situation bigger than it actually was and should not let an incident destroy her family's relationship. However, the woman does not want to change her mind and reinvite them.

Admittedly, the woman said her fiance is no longer comfortable with those family members. Because he is a good man, he would rather put up with the bullies in her family than get in between them.

The woman sought the Reddit community's help to analyze her situation and actions, asking if her decision was wrong. She received an overwhelming amount of response from people on her side.

Many users called out her family members for "bullying and terrorizing" Tim, highlighting the slashed tires as an action below the belt.

"This doesn't sound like pranking but more like bullying. Who slashes [tires] as a prank? Or messes with someone's health as a prank?" one comment read.

Another Reddit user agreed, saying: "They aren't pranking him; they are bullying him. TPing a house is a prank. Hiding a lifesaving medication is not a prank, not even if they say they were going to give it back."

"Not only uninvite them. You should cut contact completely. This is dangerous and just irresponsible," another user said. "I would have cut them off after them slashing his tires already."
