This girl born in Nelsonville, Ohio, grew up poor and went on to become a Hollywood star. She was born on March 25, 1965, and was raised by her mom, who ran a nursery school, and her dad, who was a journalist.
The girl's parents, Barbra Forste and Stephen Parker divorced after welcoming four kids together. Barbra remarried Paul Forste and had four more kids, giving this girl seven siblings in total.
Recalling her childhood, this girl said it was tough. They were poor and couldn't even hide it as sometimes they didn't have electricity or celebrate birthdays and Christmas. Bill collectors would come or the phone company would call to say they were shutting off their phones.
The girl was old enough to recognize poverty. She would sometimes receive those calls or watch her mother's reactions when she got those calls and eventually see her parents shuffling money around to pay bills.

The actress's stepfather, whom her mother married when she was three and a half, worked as a truck driver and didn't earn enough to support their large family. However, this girl recalls her childhood warmly, as it was only her family's financial situation that led to her harsh childhood experiences.
The actress said she wouldn't change any part of her childhood as much as it had its difficulties because she had love, art, and culture. "For the most part, we had everything we needed, not always," she explained.
Their home was messy, and they didn't have any hostess products or television, but she enjoyed life with her siblings as they had big, full, and exhausting days. They would play games outside until the street lamps went on, had ballet lessons, and went to the theater, which was free and accessible those days as art was funded.
