Shepherd Kellen Seinfeld is Jerry Steinfeld's son who stays away from the spotlight. Although there is little information about him, his sister's Instagram posts gives a glimpse into his personal life.
Jerry Steinfeld cemented his name as a host and comedian in the entertainment industry. While he makes millions across the globe laugh, at home, he is a responsible and loving husband and father.
Since gaining fame, fans have become interested in his personal life and family, including his son Shepherd Kellen Seinfeld. Although Shepherd lives privately, there are some details known about him.
Shepherd Kellen Seinfeld Joined His Parents during Events as a Kid
Shepherd was born to Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld in 2005, six years after his parents tied the knot. At that time, Shepherd's parents already had two kids: Four-year-old Sascha Seinfeld and two-year-old Julian Seinfeld. The comedian's publicist, Stephen Rubenstein, said of Shepherd's birth:
"Jerry and Jessica are both thrilled. The baby is great. They are all home now."
The "Talking Funny" star was 51 years old when Shepherd was born. By then, he already knew the ropes of fatherhood and even integrated babies into his comedic stint. "Make no mistake about why these babies are here — they are here to replace us," he quipped.
As a child, Shepherd would join his parents during public events, including the GOOD+ foundation's NY Bash in 2017 and 2018 and the 2013 Babu Buggy Bash event in 2013, which his parents hosted.
Shepherd Kellen Seinfeld and His Siblings Reacted Negatively to Their Father's Encounter with Kesha
In 2017, Shepherd and his siblings expressed their thoughts on their father's awkward encounter with singer Kesha. During David Lynch Foundation's National Night of Laughter and Song, the artist asked the comedian for a hug while he was in the middle of an interview. However, Jerry rejected the Kesha's request.
"My kids are very tough on me on how I deal with the public," Seinfeld said of his kids' reaction. "They never feel that I'm nice enough. But I try to explain to them that I don't owe anybody anything. I gave them the show for free."
Shepherd Kellen Seinfeld Leads a Private Life
Although his father was a star, Shepherd wasn't interested in the spotlight and "Seinfeld." As he grew older, Shepherd appeared less in public. There's not much information about him available online. However, he sometimes appears on his family members' Instagram posts. He attended his sister Jess' graduation ceremony in May this year.
Jess also shared a photo of him in 2022, having a meal with their cat on the table. "You see how he looks me right in the eye whilst doing so….?" she captioned the post. The year before, he participated in their family's Thanksgiving activity, where they baked desserts.
The year prior, Shepherd's sister shared a glimpse of their Jewish New Year celebration, and before that, she posted a throwback of their encounter with President Joe Biden. Although nearly full adults now, Shepherd and his siblings still maintain a close relationship.
