‘You Resemble Each Other a Lot’: Shannen Doherty Shows Her Family — She Has 4 Nephews & 3 Nieces

On Wednesday, Shannen Doherty shared a family portrait with her older brother Sean B. Doherty, and a few of his sons, Zachariah, Bryant, and Dixon Doherty.

Flanked by Zachariah and her brother, the "Charmed" star stood on her tippy toes but was still a head shorter than her five relatives as they posed in a restaurant.

She appropriately captioned the post "Family," punctuated with a red heart. An Instagram user asked if it was a brother Sean in the picture, to which she replied, "Yep!" Sean was tagged with the Sharpened Iron Studios handle, the company he founded.

When Shannen did an interview early in her career, he asked her to confirm the spelling of his name because he would be president one day. "And he will be president," she said. "He is so brilliant. He got, like, an almost perfect score on his SATs."

"Doherty genes is strong; Zachari is giving me a Shando vibes so much," one commented on the family post. "Wow, this is so nice to see! Your brother and you resemble each other a lot," someone agreed.

While she has no kids, she is an aunt to four nephews and three nieces. "What a Beautiful Family... " someone added, "Yes, Family Time is so important. You are looking so good, Shannen." Another agreed, "You have a great-looking family. You look terrific."

Her breast cancer went into remission in 2017 but returned in 2020. On January 5, 2023, a scan showed that she had brain metastases, for which she began radiation treatment a week later. She went for an operation to remove the tumor the same month.

"So happy to see you shining so bright, Shannen. You are a beautiful person," a fan commented. "Beautiful family & you look absolutely fabulous!" one seconded.

Family is essential to the 90's icon. She admitted that before she went into the brain surgery in January, she "was worried about leaving my mom and how that would impact her."

Shannen's father suffered a stroke on Christmas Day 2009; he passed away the following November at 66. In an official statement, she called him the "greatest man in the world."

In June, Sean was seen shielding his sister from the glare of the paparazzi outside the Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi. She has supported him in other ways, like presenting him with an award for his animal activism.

Shannen Doherty Is Going through an Acrimonious Divorce

"The only people who deserve to be in your life are the ones who treat you with love, kindness, and total respect," the "90210" posted cryptically on Instagram on April 21, 2023.

Hours later, news broke that she had filed for divorce from her husband of 11 years, Kurt Iswarienko. The papers were filed by Laura Wasser, the celebrity divorce lawyer who also worked with Kevin Costner and Kelly Clarkson.

"Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option," her rep said. TMZ reported that the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, and Shannen Doherty was seeking alimony.
