Patrick Stewart is married to singer-songwriter Sunny Ozell. The couple met in 2008 and tied the knot in 2013. Stewart was previously married to his first wife, Sheila Falconer, whom he shares two kids with, Daniel Stewart and Sophie Stewart.
Stewart and his second wife, Wendy Neuss, have no kids together. After his divorce from Neuss, he met Ozell, his now wife of 10 years, whom he shares no kids with. The couple are total lovebirds, and Ozell sometimes gives fans a glimpse into their lovely marriage on her Instagram.
The "Logan" star met Ozell when he was acting in a year-long production of "Macbeth." Stewart recalled that his wife was working as a waitress in Brooklyn then. He was eating when Ozell at the restaurant where she was working when she approached him and asked him what he would like for dessert, which would be on the house.

The two started talking, and Stewart learned that Ozell had wanted to see "Macbeth," but it was sold out. He told the show would be on Broadway next, and then gave her his telephone number so she could call him for tickets. Stewart admitted it was the first time he had ever given out his phone number for tickets.
Ozell called Stewart, and she went to watch the show on Broadway. The singer then went backstage after the show was over, and the two had dinner. That moment became the start of their romance, which has lasted over ten years to date.

In September 2013, Stewart, 83, and his younger wife, Ozell, 44, exchanged vows, with the actor's longtime friend Ian McKellen officiating the wedding. In 2022, as they approached ten years of marriage, Stewart said, "I've never met anyone like her before," referring to his wife, who always keeps him on his toes.
The "X-Men" actor praised his wife, saying she is smart, talented, and knowledgeable. Stewart is always wowed by his wife's intellectual accomplishments, which he refers to as "extraordinary" because Ozell remembers everything.
A few days ago, Ozell announced that she and her husband celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. She said it was "a helluva milestone that we loved celebrating." The singer shared this alongside a cute picture of her posing next to her husband. The gorgeous couple were all smiles and goofy in the photo.
Even as he advocated for legal doctor-assisted dying, Stewart said he still feels young.

Ozell also said she was excited that her husband's memoir was hitting shelves this month. The book "Make It So: A Memoir" was published on October 3, 2023, and "feels significantly more momentous than any wedding anniversary," according to Ozell, adding:
"I'm so proud of his courage, his candor, and especially his generosity of spirit that pretty much oozes off the pages."
Years before Ozell and Stewart met, the actor went through a life-changing health issue when he was diagnosed with a heart condition. This condition motivated Stewart to take up a cause that he has been advocating for over the years.

Stewart's Heart Condition and Surgery
In 2006, the actor was diagnosed with coronary heart disease. He said he used to work out regularly, something he referred to as "powerwalking." However, while working out one day, he felt an ache in the middle of his chest and called his doctors in Los Angeles.

Stewart went to the hospital and was put on a treadmill. He also underwent stress tests and other medical tests. After doctors viewed his results, he was told he had coronary heart disease with 85 percent blockage.
Stewart had lunch plans at Paramount that day, but within 10 minutes of diagnosis, he was prepped for surgery and taken on a gurney for the operation. A woman took down details of his next of kin quickly as he headed to surgery.

The actor's surgery was successful. Doctors conducted an angiogram and put a stent in his heart to prevent any future blockage from occurring. Now, he sees his doctors twice a year and goes through the same test each time.
Stewart's heart surgery and the death of a friend's wife changed his life. The wife had cancer and was really suffering. One night, she took an overdose of medications, but it wasn't sufficient to end her life. She was taken to the hospital and recovered from it.
The attempt to end her life was an indication of how Stewart's friend's wife was feeling. When she got back from the hospital, she told her husband to take their dog for a walk. The wife used this period to make another attempt to end her life, and this time, she did not survive it.
After his heart surgery and the traumatic way his friend's wife died, the 88-year-old now advocates for the opportunity to legally have someone assist in ending his life if he becomes terminally ill. Stewart doesn't want legal doctor-assisted dying only for himself but for other patients who are terminally ill, suffering, and have only a few months to live.

Even as he advocated for legal doctor-assisted dying, Stewart said he still feels young. The actor, who has been accused of dating younger women, is now married to a woman whose age is close to half his. Age doesn't seem to be an issue with them, and fans often swoon at how adorable they look.
