Darius and his then-wife, Beth Leonard, welcomed Daniella on May 16, 2001. Their bundle of joy was born in Charleston, South Carolina. In 2016, Daniella's father shared a picture of her and Dan Marino, revealing she was named after the former Miami Dolphins quarterback.

Darius and Beth's eldest child attended the University of New York, and in 2020, Daniella's father took to Instagram to share a snap of her under the Big Apple snow. He proudly captioned the post:
