Polly Jordan & Jim Jordan Have Been Together since They Were Teens

Polly Jordan has scarcely appeared publicly with her husband, but she has been part of his life for decades. The mother to his four children, she celebrated 38 years of marriage in 2023 with the US congressman.

Polly Jordan and her husband, Jim Jordan met each other when they were 14. The politician was part of his school's wrestling team and had initially met her brothers. Once he met Polly, he favored her company more.

The pair became high school sweethearts and maintained their romance until they tied the knot on August 17, 1985. They expanded their family privately and kept their relationship hidden from the public eye.

Jim Jordan's Wife Homeschooled Their Kids

There is little information about Polly's background, but like her husband, she, too, grew up in rural Champaign County, Ohio. She homeschooled their children before working as a public school art teacher in the western Ohio district.

Her husband had plans of becoming a wrestling coach but changed course and went into politics following the birth of their youngest child. When he first became a Congressman, Jim's source of income was a five-figure sum from a deferred compensation plan.

Polly also earned modestly, but her husband's salary eventually increased to over $170K. Jim also received royalties from a political memoir. His rise in politics attracted praise from former US president Donald Trump, previously married to Ivana Trump.

Polly Jordan's Minimal Public Appearances

Polly rarely appears alongside her husband in public, but there have been a few known instances. In June 2019, she and Jim were on their way to the airport in New Bern, North Carolina, when they stopped at the Birthplace of Pepsi-Cola.

US Representative Greg Murphy had taken the couple to the historical landmark, where he introduced them to its managing partner, Sabrina Bengel. Polly posed for photos with her husband and their hosts, sporting a black top, a rich brown skirt, and a white lace-detailed cardigan.

Her hair was curled and dark colored with golden highlights parted midways. Polly stood beside Jim with her glasses in one hand and smiled at the camera. In 2022, she and Jim visited the Pensacola Christian College together.

The institution's Executive Vice President, John Lands, hosted the couple; however, Polly opted out of posing for photos this time. Although she and Jim have kept their relationship private, Jim once gushed about a milestone they reached online.

"My wife Polly and I are celebrating 25 years of marriage today. It seems like just yesterday... So blessed to have her and our four children. Thanks for all of the well wishes!" he wrote on Facebook in August 2010.

Polly Jordan's Kids Attended Their Dad's Alma Mater

Of Polly and Jim's four children, three attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they also played sports. Jim studied at the university on a wrestling scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics.

He then enrolled at Ohio State University and earned a Master's in Education. Finally, Jim went to Capital University in Columbus and attained a Law degree. According to his official bio, as of this writing, he and Polly live close to their hometown in Ohio and have three grandchildren.
