Although Dyer has been acting for many years, she shot to fame for her role in "Stranger Things," co-starring Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, and Charlie Heaton. However, the actress revealed the journey has not been without its downsides.
During an interview, Dyer admitted that one of her greatest challenges as an actress has been letting go of her fear of looking "silly" and getting out of her head. In an attempt to protect her mental health, Dyer has also steered clear of social media. She added:
"I went back to therapy during the pandemic which was one of the best decisions I think I've ever made for myself. I'm such an advocate. I think it's such a nice space to give yourself."
Dyer added that therapy helped her navigate the entertainment industry as an introvert and handle the visibility that came with having a lead role in such a successful show by putting up boundaries and looking inward.
