Lady Driver Caught Her Boss Cheating, Teaming up with His Wife They Take Revenge – Story of the Day

Taylor, a single mother, wasn't expecting such an awful start to her new job as a rich man's driver. Her sexist boss, Mr. Reynolds, almost fired her only because she was a woman. His prejudice against women lands him in deep trouble when Taylor catches Mr. Reynolds with his mistress...

Taylor waited at the dimly lit parking lot of a luxurious office building, clutching the steering wheel of her newly assigned SUV outside her new boss Mr. Reynolds' office. She was waiting to pick him up.

34-year-old Taylor was as nervous as a leaf in the wind. Her heart raced with a mix of anxiety and desperation, which intensified whenever the thought of her new boss flashed before her.

Nothing should go wrong today. I must do all it takes to impress Mr. Reynolds because I really need this job, Taylor frantically thought.

The single mother was worried because this was her first day on the job. She hoped for a kind and understanding boss. But little did Taylor guess that Mr. Reynolds was a rude and sexist man…

The hiring agency assigned Taylor to the position of a driver, although she had initially wanted to wait tables.

She thought it would give her more time after work to tend to her little son, Jerry, and be able to teach him rhymes before he was enrolled in school.

When she was told waitressing spots would not be available until the next six weeks, Taylor decided not to wait and waste time. So she agreed to work as a driver and make some money until then.

That morning, Taylor donned a crisp black pantsuit and confidently waited for Mr. Reynolds in the car.

Taylor hadn't seen or heard of her new boss. So when she saw a man in a crisp blue suit approaching the SUV with a briefcase, she instantly guessed it would be Mr. Reynolds and flaunted her best smile before starting the ignition.

Mr. Reynolds casually got into the backseat and was engrossed in his phone as he slammed the door shut without paying any attention to the driver.

He was told there would be a new driver joining today. But nobody told him it would be a female driver. That would've been a deal-breaker for Mr. Reynolds. He always preferred male drivers and thought women were incapable and unsafe behind the wheel.

"74 Oak Street, please make it fast!" Mr. Reynolds instructed.

"Good morning, Mr. Reynolds!" Taylor chirped with a bright ear-to-ear grin as she glanced at her boss in the rearview mirror.

To her shock, the expression on Mr. Reynold's face went from shock to disgust as soon as he heard her voice.

"Whoa, wait a second!" he scowled before Taylor could fasten her seatbelt. Her smile faded because that tone of Mr. Reynolds was anything but kind.

"A lady driver? Goddammit! I was told there would be a driver. And I expected a man. Not a woman! Turn around...lady, turn around," Mr. Reynolds barked.

A lump rose in Taylor's throat. She forced a smile on her face and gently turned around.

"Hello, Sir. My name is Taylor...and I'm your new driver. The agency…"

"Cut it, lady! I need no woman driver. Your application didn't mention you were a woman. I thought Taylor was a man!"

"It did, Sir," Taylor politely answered, still smiling. "It's a unisex name. Maybe you overlooked the gender part on the application form."

Taylor assumed Mr. Reynolds would understand and just ask her to drive him home or wherever he wanted to go. But to her dismay, he yelled at her to get out of the vehicle.

"Get out of the car, lady!" Mr. Reynold's voice struck Taylor like a painful blow to the stomach. "Are you deaf? OUT of my car!"

Taylor's eyes gushed with tears, and her heart started to race as she slowly froze back in her chair.

"No, no...no, Sir. Please..." she mumbled, staring at Mr. Reynolds in the rearview mirror, watching him fidget with his briefcase.

"I said, get out. What are you still doing in the car? Leave...right now. I'm gonna sue your agency for sending me a good-for-nothing female driver instead of a man."

Taylor was too shocked to move. So Mr. Reynolds angrily got out of the car and walked to the front, beckoning her to leave the SUV immediately.

"What the hell are you doing? Quit wasting my time, lady. Out of my car right now. Or I'll have the security throw you out…

"I don't have all day! Out! Let's go!" Mr. Reynolds barked at Taylor while clapping his hands and swearing under his breath.

Swallowing her tears, Taylor opened the car door and nervously stepped out before approaching Mr. Reynolds.

"What are you waiting for, lady? Do I have to tell you to give me the goddamn keys?" he spat.

"Mr. Reynolds, please, give me a chance," Taylor pleaded. "I need this job. I have a little son at home. I'm a single mother. Please, be a little considerate."

But poor Taylor's pleas fell on deaf ears.

"That's not my problem, lady. Listen, you're wasting my time. I'm calling a cab for me...and you can go home or wherever you want to go. Just...out of my sight," he gritted his teeth. Taylor should really have left at that moment. Because what she was about to face was only more disgust and discrimination.

"By the way, what are you even doing here? No, I'm seriously asking you...

...WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING HERE? Do you think you can drive just because you have a damn license?

"Sir, I'm not new to driving," Taylor said in a composed tone. "I drive really well...I can prove it to you…please, just give me a chance. I need this job...for my son."

"I'm not so sure about that," Mr. Reynolds growled as he grabbed the keys from Taylor. "I can't entrust my life to a female driver! It's not a job you're cut out for. Why don't you do something else instead? Something that suits you? Like housekeeping or sweeping the roads, or...

…no, wait...I know something even better! Why not get a job as a waitress or barmaid where you can get to wear these short skirts and show off your legs!"

Things only got more uncomfortable for Taylor when Mr. Reynolds checked her out from head to toe and grinned.

"I suppose you have nice long legs that could look hot under those stockings! Women like you belong in the kitchen, not behind the wheel! Anyways, quit wasting my time. That's it. Have a nice day. Goodbye!"

Mr. Reynolds turned around to call a taxi as Taylor watched him storm away to a corner. She was mad at him for judging her capabilities by her gender.

Who gave him the right to judge my career choices? How dare he pass dirty remarks about my appearance and get away with it only because he's some wealthy businessman running a million-dollar company? Taylor fumed to herself.

But she knew she was not in the spot to confront Mr. Reynolds.

Taylor knew he would do anything in his power and influence to make sure she never landed a job again in the city if she ever confronted him.

Moreover, Taylor needed this job desperately.

With food, rent, and a little son to take care of, she decided to try her luck in convincing Mr. Reynolds to give her a chance to see if she fit well in the job.

So, without further thought, Taylor hurried after him and stopped his way.

"Mr. Reynolds, please wait. Look, I really need this job. I have proper a license, alright? You can trust me...

...I'm a single mother. I have a little son back home, and I can't afford to go home empty-handed and jobless. Please...be a little considerate and give me just one chance. All I ask for is…one chance. Please."

"I don't care!" Mr. Reynolds spat. "It's not my problem. There's no way I can get behind the wheel with a woman and risk my life only because you have a driving license...and a son! I don't wanna die!

…And are you crazy, lady? Just look at you...from what angle do you look like a professional driver who can drive a rich businessman like me around the city? What if you mess up on the way and get us both into an accident? I don't wanna take any risks."

Taylor's pleas dangled by a thread, and Mr. Reynolds was not in the mood to listen to her, let alone give her a chance. But the poor single mother kept begging him.

"Mr. Reynolds, give me a chance, please. I know your schedule. Besides, even if you hail a cab now, you still won't make it wherever you want to go on time...

...it could take a while for the cab driver to arrive...and then for him to figure out the route or any shortcut coz of the traffic. You have a driver already! Right now, I'm the only one who can get you there on time."

Mr. Reynolds furrowed his brows doubtfully. Taylor's reasons made quite some sense to him. Moreover, he was already running late for an 'important' meeting and could not afford any delay.

A few seconds passed as Mr. Reynolds jogged his thoughts. Taylor glanced at him with a confident grin and hope brimming in her eyes for his answer.

Mr. Reynolds saw the time on his wristwatch and gasped. Glancing intensely into Taylor's eyes, he nodded and said, "Okay! Get back in the car! Consider it your test drive today...

...If you impress me and do good, I'll think about keeping you. Only think! But if I'm not pleased, then you're fired. Go!" he turned to the SUV as he tossed the car keys to Taylor.

A big, fat smile sparkled on Taylor's face. "Thank you, Mr. Reynolds!" she said as she grabbed the keys and hurried to the car.

It was close to sunset when Taylor was behind the wheel, driving her new boss across the city to the building where he was supposed to be meeting with an important client.

But due to the thick traffic on that weekend, Taylor decided to take a shortcut.

"Can you make it faster, lady?" Mr. Reynolds yelled at Taylor. "You're going at a turtle's speed. Don't forget I have a meeting in twenty minutes and I need to be there on time. Hurry up, will you? I've got no time."

With her grasp on the wheel and foot on the pedal, Taylor was already driving at twenty-five miles per hour. But Mr. Reynolds was in such a hurry that he nudged her to go faster and overtake the vehicles ahead.

"You said we're gonna make it there on time. Looking at your speed, I don't think so! I trusted you. Is this all you've got? Let's go. Step on it, lady. Is this your speed? Now, do you understand why I wanted a male driver?

...You women are NOT meant for such jobs we men can do easily! What are you scared of speeding up or something, lady?"

"Sir, I don't think we should actually...." Taylor said, but Mr. Reynolds would not listen.

"Stop telling lame excuses. Go, go, go! Let's hurry up. Make it fast. I can't afford to make my clients wait. Faster, lady, faster!"

Alright! He asked for it! Taylor thought as she puckered her lips before stepping on the gas pedal.

The car went from twenty-five to sixty miles per hour and vroomed across the street as Mr. Reynolds peered through the window and asked Taylor to stop several minutes later.

"Stop! The building's right over there...there, that one. Stop right here...I'll get down over here," he instructed.

But Taylor could not hear him clearly due to all that rumbling engine noise and honking of vehicles. "I said stop right here, lady. Are you deaf?" Mr. Reynolds hissed as the car came to a halt.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Reynolds…I didn't hear you."

Mr. Reynolds frowned. He was not in the mood to yell at Taylor, although he was clearly annoyed.

"I'm gonna be in the meeting for about half an hour, okay?" he said before stepping outside. "Wait for me right here. I don't want you to park at the parking lot coz we'll be late if it gets congested with more vehicles. Just be here, alright, babe?"

BABE? Taylor raised a brow but did not say anything, although she knew it was not the most appropriate way a boss would address his employees.

"Alright, Mr. Reynolds," Taylor politely said as Mr. Reynolds got down and approached the building, slamming the car door shut behind him.

Around 15 minutes passed.

Taylor was hungry and tired and looked up from the steering wheel she was leaning onto when a loud beeping noise from the backseat stirred her awake.

Her phone was set to silent mode, so she instantly realized that her boss had left his phone in the backseat.

Taylor grabbed the phone and tapped on a message notification from the sender named, 'Honey.'

"Where are you?" read the first message that was sent to Mr. Reynolds an hour ago.

"It's our anniversary," read another sent 15 minutes ago, followed by the most recent texts, "I'm packing...I mean it."

"Oh my God!" Taylor gasped.

Only now did she realize that Mr. Reynolds was married, that today was his wedding anniversary, and his wife was mad at him for not spending time with her.

Having realized the seriousness of the situation, Taylor decided to meet Mr. Reynolds and give him the phone so that he could at least respond to his wife's texts and tell her about the meeting he was stuck at.

Taylor entered the lobby but had no idea where Mr. Reynolds was at the moment. So she asked a janitor who was mopping the floor nearby.

"Uh, excuse me...did you see a man in a blue suit and white shirt...and peppered stubble walking by here? He came here, like, twenty minutes ago. Maybe you saw where he went? I need to give him this phone urgently..."

The janitor paused cleaning and listened intently before asking Taylor, "You mean Mr. Reynolds?"

Taylor's eyes bulged in relief. "Yes, you're right. Mr. Reynolds! Did you see him? Where is he?"

"Yeah, I did. He's on the sixth floor of this building. Apartment number 609."

"Thank you so much!" Taylor said as she hurried to the elevator.

Panting and nervous, Taylor took the elevator to the sixth floor. Catching a heavy breath and hoping her new boss, Mr. Reynolds, would not be mad at her for interrupting an important client meeting, Taylor knocked on the door of apartment number 609.

Taylor's patience wore thin because a minute had passed, but there was still no answer. Pursing her lips, Taylor knocked again.

But this time, she heard the doorknob click on the other side and heard a woman's voice.

"Yes?"

"Uh, I'm here to see Mr. Reynolds," Taylor replied.

Taylor straightened her shoulders and wore a smile as the door slowly swung open. But what she saw on the other side of the door was something she had never imagined.

"What? Who are you? What do you want?" a young woman groggily asked and stared at Taylor.

"I'm Mr. Reynolds' new driver."

Taylor watched as the woman hastily wrapped a white bed sheet around her, securing it with one hand. Her cheeks were flushed red with embarrassment, and her hair was messy.

Taylor turned pale with disbelief as she glanced at the woman from top to toe.

Her boss, 49-year-old Mr. Reynolds, was supposed to have been in a client meeting in this room. Or that's what he had told Taylor an hour ago before making her drive the winding city routes in full throttle.

But the sight before Taylor did not seem a bit like there was any client meeting. It meant something else, particularly after Taylor noticed Mr. Reynolds rush from inside while quickly buttoning up his shirt.

"Honey, is that your phone she's holding?" the woman arched her brows and groggily turned to Mr. Reynolds.

"Maddy, Madison…babe, babe, babe...I think it's an important work call, okay? I'll be back in a minute," Mr. Reynolds hurried past Madison as he grabbed his cell phone from Taylor.

"Thanks! Now leave!" he coldly told Taylor to go and wait in the car. "Go, right now. Leave!"

Taylor sighed and nodded as she watched Mr. Reynolds talk to his wife on the phone.

How could a man who called himself "Perfect" cheat on two women at the same time? Is Mr. Reynolds living a double life, deceiving both his wife and his mistress? Taylor wondered.

"Do you want some coffee or water?" Madison's voice snapped Taylor out of her thoughts.

Madison craned her neck to see if Mr. Reynolds was done with his phone call. She had no idea he was actually talking to his wife.

"No, I'm good, thanks!" Taylor politely dismissed.

"Alright! I'll be waiting for you inside, honey! Make it fast!" Madison rolled her eyes and disappeared inside before shouting out to Mr. Reynolds, who was still engrossed in the phone call.

Madison slammed the door shut. Taylor slightly turned around and heard Mr. Reynolds pleading with his wife not to leave him.

"Yes, of course, honey. I didn't forget today's our wedding anniversary. How can I forget, babe?

...No, no, no. I had to rush to meet an important client from Tokyo. I'm not lying. Why would I?"

Taylor's brows furrowed with disgust as she stood there, listening to every lie Mr. Reynolds was telling his wife on the phone.

"Sugar, listen, don't jump to conclusions, alright? I love you...you know that! I'll see you soon, okay? We can dine out...maybe go shopping...and celebrate our anniversary tonight with some champagne and…!!"

"Yeah, I'll explain everything when we meet, okay? It's just work, babe. It's not the first time I've had a meeting like this. So don't worry. I'll be home soon! Love you!"

Mr. Reynolds gasped with relief as soon as he hung up and barked at Taylor for not leaving.

"I told you to leave, didn't I? What are you still doing here?"

Mr. Reynolds could not bring himself to face Taylor because he was aware that she knew his little 'dirty' secret. He was embarrassed.

"I was waiting for you to finish talking to your wife and to ask when exactly you would be downstairs because you mentioned you'd return in half an hour. And that time's up."

"Get out and wait for me in the car!" Mr. Reynolds said, slamming the room door in Taylor's face.

Taylor would have left already if the door hadn't been ajar, giving her a glimpse into more of Mr. Reynolds' double life.

"Sugar, babe, I've got to go. It's urgent. I got this work call, and I must be there..." Mr. Reynolds told Madison.

"You always do this, Ray! Please, not today. I wanted to spend the whole day with you," Madison, who seemed drunk, told Mr. Reynolds.

"Pumpkin, I can't...I can't, I'm sorry. I'll text you, alright? Maybe you can send me some pictures later tonight? But please, don't text me until I say so coz I might have some important late-night work calls, alright?"

Mr. Reynolds wrapped his arms around Madison's waist, and they were both about to kiss passionately, only to stop at noticing Taylor watching everything.

Mr. Reynolds furiously shook his head. "What?? I asked you to leave. Go start the car and wait for me, will you?"

Taylor bowed her head and nodded before leaving the spot. She waited for Mr. Reynolds in the car and saw him approaching five minutes later.

"Jesus, what were you doing up there outside the apartment?" he barked at Taylor. "Didn't I ask you to wait down here? I think I already have plenty of reasons to fire you."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Reynolds. I didn't mean to intrude. You had left your phone in the car. I read those message notifications from your wife and..."

"Damn! You read the messages on my phone?"

"I didn't read the messages on your phone, Sir. I just tapped on the notification and saw a string of only four messages. I thought it was important because your wife mentioned she was leaving you. And your phone was locked, so don't worry. I didn't see anything else. And I would never do that!"

Mr. Reynolds sat back in the car and instructed Taylor to drive him home.

"Christ, this is taking forever! For God's sake, can you drive a little faster, lady? My wife's already mad at me...Goddammit! How long is it gonna take before we're there?"

"Twenty minutes."

"Twenty minutes?? Damn, no! That is so late. Look, you've got only ten more minutes to think of a reason why we're late and to take me to my wife. It's all your fault. Hurry up...take me there in ten damn minutes!"

"Mr. Reynolds, I'm driving fast, but..."

"Ten minutes, lady, or you're fired!" Mr. Reynolds barked.

Taylor nodded and immediately pulled over to the side.

"Are you crazy, lady? I asked you to drive. Why did you stop? DRIVE...you fool, we're running late."

"Get out of the car!" Taylor said, jolting Mr. Reynolds. He did not see that coming.

"What?"

"I said, get out of the car, Mr. Reynolds. Get out!"

Mr. Reynolds looked around and saw they were stranded in the middle of nowhere on a bypass under a railway crossing. Without asking further, he got out of the car.

"What, why did you ask me to get out of the car?" he asked Taylor. But she didn't utter anything and lifted the car hood.

"What the hell are you doing? What's wrong?"

"Take off your jacket. Just do as I say, okay? Take it off!" Taylor yelled at Mr. Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds rolled up his sleeves and watched as Taylor ran her hands on the greasy parts of the car.

"Hold this!" she said, extending an oily wire to him.

"Now what?" he asked Taylor, his tone frustrated and angry.

Taylor pulled over and got down as she looked at Elise with a warm smile. "Mrs. Reynolds, my name is Taylor. I'm Mr. Reynolds' new driver, and I joined today...

...I'm really sorry, Mrs. Reynolds. Our car broke down on the highway, and Mr. Reynolds was in such a hurry to get home. We couldn't tow it to the garage as none was in sight. None of the mechanics we called were free. So Mr. Reynolds and I had to do a minor fixing on our own."

Elise exchanged glances with her husband, Mr. Reynolds, who nodded and smiled warmly.

Taylor made big eyes and apologized. "Uh, I'm once again so sorry for the delay, Mrs. Reynolds."

"Jacob, is that true? Did your car break down on the way?" Elise turned to her husband.

Mr. Reynolds showed Elise his greasy hands and smiled. "Of course, Sugar! Why do you think I got myself messed up, babe? I didn't want to be late and disappoint you any further!"

"Why didn't you call me instead?" Elise frowned. "I would have given you more time to hail a cab or something. Why did you have to hurry?"

"How could I touch my phone...just look at my hands," Mr. Reynolds waved his oily hands. "They're covered in grease! And I couldn't leave the lady driver alone there...so we thought we'd get the car fixed."

Looking at both Taylor's and Mr. Reynolds' greasy hands, Elise laughed it off, saying, "Jesus, thank goodness! You know, I was already imagining nasty things. I'm glad you finally showed up!"

"Thank you for understanding, Mrs. Reynolds. And happy anniversary!" Taylor said.

"Wait a sec...how do you know today's my wedding anniversary...?"

Before Elise could finish talking, Mr. Reynolds chimed in. "Ah, I told her on our way. I had to tell her why I was in such a hurry to head home to see my lovely wife!"

Elise nodded and smiled. "Okay, thanks for wishing, Taylor...Uh, Jacob, shall we go wash up and maybe order some food? I'm so exhausted after cleaning and doing the laundry. I'm all worked up about going to the restaurant or shopping tonight!"

Mr. Reynolds agreed. "Sounds great, Sugar. Let's go! And I can't wait to..."

Elise stopped Mr. Reynolds and shyly looked at Taylor.

"By the way, I wanted to borrow your car for tomorrow. You know I don't know how to drive...so can your lovely driver give me a ride to the bookshop and the salon? I was thinking of meeting a friend, too. So it's gonna be a busy day for me tomorrow. Maybe you can book a taxi ride to your office if you don't mind?"

"Ah, it's my pleasure, babe. Why not? Anything for you," Mr. Reynolds said.

But his shocked expression meant something else that Elise could not instantly decipher, one that only Taylor understood.

"Wonderful! Okay, see you tomorrow then, Taylor. It was nice meeting you. Once again, thanks for wishing!"

"My pleasure, Mrs. Reynolds! Have a good night."

"Listen, I want you to pretend we're talking about an important business meeting, alright?" Mr Reynolds whispered to Taylor.

"This stays between us...I want you to book a limo in two days...and pick me up a block away from my office. Is that clear?"

"One more thing...you'd be mostly spending your day with my wife tomorrow. If she asks anything, your answer is 'No!' alright? She'll try different ways to churn out things from you. Don't forget, I'm the one who's paying you."

Mr. Reynolds stepped away from Taylor.

"At six o'clock...don't forget. He's a very important client, and I can't afford to miss this deal. Be there on time!" he shouted loud enough for Elise to hear.

"Okay!" Taylor replied as she turned away, watching Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds enter the apartment.

The following day, Taylor picked up Elise from the apartment and drove to the nearest bookshop, only to take a diversion upon Elise's instruction.

Only then did it strike Taylor. Elise had not intended to meet a friend or chill out at the salon like she had claimed the previous night.

"Okay, so why don't you tell me what you saw? Where was he yesterday?" Elise nudged Taylor for the truth just as they pulled over at a park.

"How do you know, Mrs. Reynolds?"

Elise sighed and rolled her eyes. "I've known that man for ten years. Did you think I didn't hear that woman's voice on the phone yesterday while Jacob was talking to me? I've heard the same voice a couple of times...and I know it's not a coincidence."

Taylor was torn between Mr. Reynolds' threat of firing her from the job and revealing the truth to his wife.

"Tell me, Taylor. What would you do if this happened to you? I'm sorry...I know your husband is no more. You just told me. But what would you do if you were in my shoes?"

"I have a little daughter, just like your son!" Elise added, tears glistening in her eyes.

"Do you know how difficult it is for me to put up with that man's lies while trying to pretend in front of my daughter that everything is okay? Can you please tell me what you saw? Who is it?"

Taylor sighed heavily. She knew she could be fired for this, but realized it was unfair to keep Elise in a web of lies.

"You're right, Mrs. Reynolds. It's just as you had suspected. Mr. Reynolds has a mistress...and he was with her when you called."

Elise sat back and smiled, her mind and heart at war at this point. She had long known her husband was up to something outside of marriage but could not find any solid evidence to prove it.

There were times when Elise had even confronted Mr. Reynolds about his coming home late or having lipstick stains on his shirt. But he always found a way to escape Elise's suspicion and keep his extramarital affairs under wraps.

"Do you know how long this has been going on? Did he tell you anything?"

"No! I just saw them together yesterday. But I know her apartment."

"Uhm, that's great, Taylor," Elise nodded. "I'll figure out a way to use this information. And I'll be needing your help with something I'm planning..."

"Mrs. Reynolds, I also wanted to tell you about—"

"Don't call me by that man's last name. Just Elise sounds fine!"

"Alright. Elise, there's something else I wanted to tell you."

"Yes, go ahead."

"Last night, Mr. Reynolds asked me to book a limo in his name...told me to pick him up a block away from his office the day after tomorrow."

"Oh, I see! So this was the so-called 'important' client meeting he was bragging about? Interesting! He also told me he would be late after this corporate party following the meeting."

Taylor nodded. "I know he'd fire me. I'm least bothered about it now...coz I feel you need to know the truth about your husband."

"Thanks, Taylor! Listen, I've got a plan..."

Two days later…

"Gosh, you're never on time, Ray!" Madison grumbled as Mr. Reynolds cozied up beside her in the limousine on the set day of their meeting.

They spent the day at a resort and were leaving back to Madison's apartment.

"I'm so sorry, babe. I was just talking to the resort manager…planning our next stay here! Glad everything's sorted. No more distractions anymore! I'm all yours…Again!!"

"Okay, so when are we going shopping for that bridal gown you promised last month, remember?" Madison turned to Mr. Reynolds.

"Bridal gown? Wait, are you serious? C'mon, Maddy! There are a lot of other 'nice' things we can do instead of getting married. How about a nice trip to Ibiza in two weeks...where you can get some amazing spa massages, seafood...and plenty of shopping?"

Madison blushed as Mr. Reynolds squeezed her thigh and sat back comfortably. "Let's go, driver!" he instructed Taylor. "And let's not hurry this time! Close the window! Focus on the road while I…."

The window rolled up before completely shutting Mr. Reynolds and Madison away as they cozied up in their seats.

"You know how much I love you?" Madison hugged Mr. Reynolds and said, leaning on his shoulder.

"I know, babe! And I'm going to show you tonight how much I love you!"

Madison burst into a giddy chuckle as Mr. Reynolds kissed her forehead. "You look gorgeous in this dress!"

Just as Mr. Reynolds was singing praises of his mistress, the car stopped, and he was so engrossed in flirting with Madison that he failed to notice his wife, Elise, standing outside.

"Hey, driver! Why did you stop the car? Hurry up, will you? We need to get to the apartment on time."

Just then, the car door swung open.

"May I?" Elise said as she got in the car. "I hope I didn't disturb you two lovebirds! Don't worry...I'll take no more than five minutes of your precious time."

"Ray, who is she?" Madison turned to Mr. Reynolds.

"Elise...Sugar? What...H-How did you...?"

"Yeah, it's me, Jacob. What's going on?"

"Sugar??" Madison exclaimed.

"Yes, he calls me that! And Jacob darling, I suppose you now understand that too much 'Sugar' is bad for health! Oh, by the way, I'm his WIFE!"

"Oh my God...Jacob…you...you're still married? You told me you divorced long back," Madison cried out.

"Driver, we can go!" Elise shouted out to Taylor as the car rumbled forward.

"Honey, I can explain," Mr. Reynolds told Elise. "It's not what you think. She's...she's just a friend."

"Just a FRIEND??" Madison's brows furrowed.

"Oh, let me tell you something, Jacob. I've been waiting for this moment for so long you can't even guess," Elise scoffed. "I just want to enjoy it a little more. Driver, slow down a little. I'm loving this...

...I thought it would hurt...or feel bitter. But trust me...I've never been this thrilled. It feels so amazing I can't even tell you!' Elise added.

"Elise, you've got everything wrong. Please, I can explain."

"Oh, shut up, Jacob! So, how was the jacuzzi in the resort? Did you enjoy it?"

Madison and Mr. Reynolds turned pale with shock as they watched Elise taking out a hidden camera from behind the seat.

"What the hell??" Mr. Reynolds yelled, quickly realizing that his activities and conversations with Madison inside the limo had been recorded.

"You can't prove anything, Elise! You know my lawyers. I'd pay them threefold just to get me out of this mess! You're wasting your time."

"A small correction, Jacob. They are my lawyers! They've always been working for me for so long!"

"I've been waiting for this moment for two years...ever since the first time you cheated on me. Did you think I didn't know anything, Jacob?"

"Jesus...this can't be happening," Mr. Reynolds buried his face in his hands and sighed.

"So, how long has he been lying to you? How many weeks old is your relationship with him?" Elise turned to a shocked Madison.

"Two months."

"Oh, well, not bad. His record is three, right Jacob? But trust me, darling...the ending has always been the same. He never sticks to one woman permanently and keeps monkey-branching whenever he gets bored!"

Madison's face was drained of color.

Meanwhile, Elise continued: "Along with today's recording, I have more proof of your fraud, Jacob!"

"What? My fraud? What do you mean?"

"It's on these papers," Elise tossed a file of papers on his lap.

"But...but Elise, honey, you can't...." Mr. Reynolds stuttered in shock as soon as he hastily scanned the information.

"Don't call me that...you're bankrupt, Jacob. And I froze all your bank accounts and cards. Show, let me see your face," Elise laughed. "Be ready for the divorce papers tomorrow."

"Elise, no, please, don't do this. Please, I'm sorry."

"Sorry? It doesn't make any sense now, Jacob. I don't wish to see you again!"

"I'm ready to give you my statement," Madison told Elise.

"Oh, thank you, SUGAR! Yeah, that would be really helpful!" Elise said.

Before Mr. Reynolds could process all that shock, Elise asked the driver to pull over.

"OUT!" she spat at Mr. Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds got out of the car, a sliver of hope for forgiveness and fresh beginnings in his eyes.

"C'mon, Elise. Please, don't do this to me. I'm sorry."

But Elise refused to talk or listen as the car slowly reversed. From the driver's seat, Taylor glanced up at Mr. Reynolds and smiled.

"Think wisely, Mr. Reynolds, about what you're going to do next...

...Maybe you can try your hands at being a mechanic because you aren't new to fixing cars...and getting your hands greasy!"

Mr. Reynolds hung his head in shame.

"Oh, excuse me, could you please throw it away?" Elise spat a bubble gum into a tissue and shoved it in his hands.

The limousine slowly pressed forward and disappeared into the thick evening traffic as Mr. Reynolds disappointedly watched, stranded on the road.
