Renowned fashion designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen recently made a rare public appearance. However, their outing stirred mixed reactions from fans.
The former child stars stepped out in what appeared to be a slate of business meetings as they were photographed holding folders on November 2, 2023, in New York City.
The famous sisters, 37, donned colorful fall outfits and carried matching "It" bags from their fashion line, The Row. Mary-Kate sported a burgundy velour coat with green track pants and a pair of blue Valsport sneakers.
Meanwhile, Ashley opted for similar trench pants, which had a less colorful tone and wore them with a brown coat, baggy jeans, and a pair of Nike Air Max sneakers.
The twins' photos from their recent appearance were shared on social media, and fans had a lot to say, as some people said they looked older than they are. Meanwhile, others came to their defense.
"They look so old," said one social media user alongside a string of crying face emojis. Someone agreed, "They look older than their age (35). Some ppl just age faster, even when they have tons of money!"

Someone else echoed the same sentiments, writing, "Everyone ages one day, the difference is that they haven't had plastic surgery or Botox on their faces." "They literally look their age," said one fan.
Meanwhile, another online user reminded others that Mary-Kate and Ashley are now in their late thirties and have been working individuals since they were kids, saying that can take "its toll" on anybody.
The Twins Have Been Working since They Were Infants – Inside Their Empire
Mary-Kate and Ashley rose to prominence at barely a year old after landing their shared role of Michelle Tanner in the classic television sitcom, "Full House." They graduated from high school in June 2004.
Once they turned 18 on June 13, 2004, they became copresidents of Dualstar Entertainment, a company behind their business empire. During that period, the duo moved to Manhattan, where they started their freshmen year at New York University.
In an interview, the siblings spoke about their work ethics, with Ashley revealing, "I've always been a hard worker. It has taken me a lot to figure out how to take a vacation."
Meanwhile, Mary-Kate divulged that they have found a balance between their work and personal lives. "I think we're lucky [working hard] comes quite naturally for us."
Ashley and Mary-Kate solidified their household name status by launching The Row, a fashion house that they established in 2006, which, according to their website, focuses on "exceptional fabrics, impeccable details, and precise tailoring."
The actresses named their fashion line after Savile Row in London, which is reportedly the home of the world's bespoke tailoring firms.
Ashley admitted she and Mary-Kate were not actually "conscious" of their direction from acting then. All they wanted to do was "explore" things they were interested in, and fashion happened to be one of those things.
However, when they founded The Row, they did not want people to know they were the designers behind it and even wanted someone to front it. Ashley explained she and her sister wanted the focus to be on the product only. The fashion designers' business has since grown exponentially over the years.
They marked a decade and a half in the fashion industry in 2021 but opted not to go all out for celebrations mainly because they lead low-key lives and hardly do interviews. The two are also not active on social media, nor do they shop online.
Mary-Kate divulged that she and her sibling are "discreet people," which is how they were brought up. The pair also reportedly refused to discuss their childhood and remain private individuals.
