Aneliz Álvarez Alcalá Is Not Fond of the Limelight - Meet Pepe Aguilar's Wife

Aneliz Álvarez Alcalá has been ranchera singer Pepe Aguilar's wife for nearly 30 years. Despite marrying into a family of stars and giving birth to more, she has mostly shied away from the public eye.

Aneliz Álvarez Alcalá tied the knot with Mexican musician Pepe Aguilar in the late 1990s. She married into a family of renowned artists, with her mother-in-law being the late actress and singer Flor Silvestre and her father-in-law, the late legendary singer Antonio Aguilar.

Aneliz expanded the family with her husband, welcoming three talented children, two of whom are proudly following in the footsteps of their father and grandparents. Despite all the stardom surrounding her, however, Aneliz prefers her privacy.

In September 2022, Aneliz's husband and two of their kids shared insight into their family dynamic in a joint interview. All three raved about Aneliz, emphasizing her role as a fundamental part of their family.

"My wife is a fundamental part, both of the family and the show, of everything we are as Aguilar Álvarez," Pepe said, adding that Aneliz was a reliable person whom "everyone depends on in one way or another."

Pepe called his wife the "axis" of their family; however, he also noted her dislike for being in front of the camera. "Maybe she doesn't like the camera; she gets angry when they show her in the vlog, but she is someone we love a lot and appreciate a lot," he said (translated).

Aneliz welcomed two daughters, singer and businesswoman Ángela Aguilar and influencer Aneliz Aguilar (Jr.), and a son, another singer, Leonardo Aguilar, with her husband. The mom of three has an official Instagram account where she sometimes shares loving posts about her kids.

In October 2023, she celebrated her daughter's 20th birthday, sharing a childhood photo of a younger, happy Angela. "Oh Flaca, how much love and how many moments we have given each other!!! You hit your [20s], and I'm excited to see you," she gushed (translated).

Aneliz also shared a heartwarming tribute on Aneliz Jr's birthday in 2021, raving about how much she adored her. In July 2023, she posted a few photos of her and Leonardo from a then-recent trip and wrote (translated):

"Nothing gives me more pleasure than discovering places with you, @leonardoaguilaroficial, a great 'date!!!'"

Although Aneliz has kept most of her life and presence away from the spotlight, she has made a few public appearances with her husband. In April 2023, she and Pepe attended the Latin American Music Awards with their beloved pup, El Gordo.

Later, in October, El Gordo accompanied them to the Billboard Latin Music Awards, also attended by Bad Bunny, Paris Hilton, and Sean Paul. Both Aneliz and Pepe keep their posts about one another relatively minimal.

In June 2022, however, Aneliz penned a sweet message wishing Pepe a happy Father's Day. "Thank you for the beautiful family you have given me and that I adore so much," she wrote (translated). Pepe has another son, Emiliano Aguilar, from a previous relationship. Emiliano once had a run-in with the law but now appears to be pursuing music like his siblings.
