Witherspoon shared the news of their divorce on her social media account. Of their split, the announcement conveyed that the duo had decided to make the hard decision to move on after many wonderful years together, reiterated their love and respect for one another, and noted that their top priority going forward is their son and family.

A few months following their divorce announcement, Witherspoon sat down for an interview to talk about her life and the current space she finds herself in. During the conversation, she discussed her previous relationships and compared her first divorce to her second one.

Though she admitted to the time being a very vulnerable moment, the usual busybody has managed to find time to slow down regarding her hustle and bustle. Witherspoon also noted how good it feels to control her divorce narrative and know that she is not isolated in what she's going through.

Like Witherspoon, the actor's divorce from his ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, has recently been settled. Costner and Baumgartner have been drawing out a hugely contested split this year, which saw court battles and back-and-forths.

Claims that the duo are romantically linked started swirling around the public on Wednesday. Upon the rumors growing among the masses, many who heard about them were surprised, with some not being sure how to take the news, but others were pleased about it as well:
