The woman in this story is Keely Shaye Smith. She is married to Pierce Brosnan, the actor whose most popular role is that of British secret agent James Bond. When Smith and Brosnan met, the actor had lost his first wife and mother of his three kids, Cassandra Harris. They had three kids—Charlotte, Sean, and Christopher.
Smith had been sent to interview Ted Danson when he was called away, and she ended up linking up with Brosnan at a party. The journalist found Brosnan to be captivating, tall, dark, and handsome, with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes.
The couple's first date came a few days after their initial meeting. The date's setting was romantic as they sat under the stars, held hands, and talked until three in the morning while fireworks went over their heads and Kenny Loggins' music played in the background. The journalist said Brosnan was an appealing man who liked and appreciated women.
Brosnan was also smitten by Smith. Due to his career, he had to travel a lot, and everywhere he went, he missed Smith, so he'd send her tickets so they could be together. The actor said he found a wonderful woman in the journalist, "Not if I searched a million times over would I find one as good."
The "Black Adam" star and Smith announced their plans to get married in 2000. However, they had to postpone their wedding when Brosnan's son Sean sustained serious injuries in a car accident in April 2000.
Eventually, the actor, who was People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2001, and the journalist exchanged vows on August 4, 2001, in a Roman Catholic ceremony. The wedding, which was shrouded in secrecy, took place at Ballintubber Abbey, Ireland. After the lovebirds got married, they celebrated for three days at Ashford Castle.
Even today, the couple still speaks lovingly about each other, with Smith describing Brosnan as an intelligent man whose natural beauty comes from the soul. "And, like fine wine, he's aging beautifully," she added.

He wrote, "My love always, you have made my life one of joy and happiness, light of my life, love."
The actor also shared a gorgeous picture of Smith in 2021 when she turned 58. The photo showed a stunning Smith smiling at the camera in a slip dress that showcased her cleavage. Brosnan partly captioned the post, "My beautiful luscious love Keely on her 58th trip around the sun yesterday."
Apart from many other posts featuring Brosnan complimenting his wife, The "Remember Me" actor also spoke about how Smith encouraged him to mourn Harris, who died of ovarian cancer in 1991. He said his wife has been "kind and compassionate" about his loss, noting that he thinks about Harris all the time and her fight against cancer. The actor admitted that he was lucky to find love again when he met Smith.
Smith was understanding of Brosnan's past and wasn't threatened by it. She became a supportive, loving, and wonderful addition to the actor's life. Brosnan noted that his wife is full of vitality and passion that he loves, adding, "When Keely looks at me, I go weak (…). She has this strength that I wouldn't be able to live without."
Smith and the "Die Another Day" actor share two kids together, Paris and Dylan. The actor has two other kids, Sean and Christopher, from his marriage to Harris. Harris and Brosnan's daughter, Charlotte, died of ovarian cancer in 2014.
Smith and Brosnan have been married for a long time, and their happy union makes them one of Hollywood's most beloved couples. The journalist and the actor said that the secret to their lasting marriage is being each other's friends. The two are best friends who solve problems day in, year after year, like each other, and get on well with one another.
