Dad, Who Cried on Camera over Late 5-Year-Old Son, Arrested for His Murder 34 Years Later – Details
A father who cried over the death of his 5-year-old son was arrested for his murder 34 years later. Thanks to new technologies and forensic medicine, evidence proved the dad's involvement in the case.
A recent development in a murder case that has been ongoing for years has revealed that the dad and stepmom of a little boy who was killed in March 1989 have been charged. Victor, who wept on camera, and Megan Turner (who was previously known as Pamela Turner) were arrested last week Tuesday at their home in Cross Hill, Laurens County.
Five-year-old Justin Lee Turner died as a result of strangulation by ligature in the early morning hours of March 3 over thirty years ago. Officers traveled to the location (Horseshoe Road in Moncks Corner) where Justin's parents claimed he did not get off his afternoon school bus.

However, witnesses had confirmed that Justin never even got on the bus in the first place. A sheriff, Duane Lewis, involved in the case, stated: "He never got on that bus because he was dead inside that house. I can't think of a more tragic, horrendous murder..." The search for Justin ended after two days when his father, Victor, found his body hidden inside his and Megan's pickup truck camper.
Forensic analysis shows that Justin's body had actually been placed inside the camper a few moments after he died. Further, a report done by a forensic pathologist indicates that Justin had met his demise close to the time he was last seen alive. As reported by the investigators, Victor, who was seen and heard crying in video footage of the day they discovered Justin's body, found his boy "within seconds of entering the camper."

A news source states that Victor and Megan were the only people who had access to the vehicle and that their suggestive and obvious behavior implied the duo precisely knew where to find their son. Reportedly, Victor, without being prompted or asked, had also communicated that though he knew "something was wrong" with his son and described that he looked "dead," he was adamant that he was not the one to harm Justin.

Additionally, the same news outlet stipulates that another witness had overheard Victor asking police officials a hypothetical question about what would happen to the killer if they turned out to be a family member. While speaking on the arrests, Sheriff Duane expressed: "These detectives have worked hard to be sure that the life of Justin Lee Turner is remembered and that his murderers are brought to justice."

People who followed the story of the little boy's demise conveyed that Victor and Megan's arrests were "a long time coming." Another person said: "Karma always comes for you either now or later but it comes." Someone else expressed their sorrow concerning the ordeal and commented: "Poor sweet child. I'm so sorry..."

Though the situation is extremely devastating, with the recent arrest of Justin's parents, there has been a triumph of justice despite the tragedy.
Justin's cousin, Amy Parsons, reiterated her gratitude to Sheriff Duane and the valiant team of detectives and police personnel for their unrelenting hard work in uncovering the case.
