A wedding store owner shared a story about an experience she had with a client. What was meant to be an exciting fitting turned into a drama-filled day of dealing with an imposter sister.

A woman with the handle @bridalinfluencerkasia took it to TikTok to tell a story about a strange experience she had with a client at her bridal store. The TikTok user explained that the client had been easy to work with since she already knew what she wanted. But the dress she chose needed a few custom details to fit her figure and the overall design she wanted.

After the wedding store owner agreed on everything with the bride, she sent in the order, and six months later, the dress arrived. She proceeded to call the bride in question, whom she named Darla, to schedule a fitting.

Darla was excited to try on her dress again but asked to confirm the day later on. She wanted her sisters, who were flying from out of town, her mother, and aunt to join her, since they had not seen her in her dress.

The store owner was more than willing to accommodate her and her family but asked the bride to confirm her appointment before Christmas because she would love to have the store closed by then.

The two women spoke on Friday, and then on Monday, as the store owner was getting through her packed day, she had a woman who claimed to be Darla walk-in.

The TikTok user was surprised because they had not confirmed the appointment. She told the alleged bride that she was not expecting her because they had not finalized anything. However, the store owner was willing to help but explained that she had back-to-back fittings and asked to reschedule the appointment for later in the day.

When the supposed bride arrived, it was about 2:00 p.m., and the store owner asked her to come in later at 4:00 p.m. She was at the store at 4:15 p.m., but as the woman prepared to help the bride, she was surprised to get a call from Darla, who initially said she would confirm her appointment.

This left the store owner questioning whether the woman who had walked into the store was the real Darla or the one she was with on the phone. As she tried to figure out what was happening, the bride apologized on the phone and said she had been waiting for her sister to arrive.

The TikTok user was left utterly confused. She thought the sister might have gotten things mixed up and thought they were meeting at the bridal store. But to get to the bottom of it, the store owner told her supposed bride that she needed her ID because she had made a mistake with the orders.

The woman, whom the store owner believed was an imposter, got really angry at the request and said she had traveled far to make the appointment. She proceeded to threaten the owner by saying her father was an attorney and she would take legal action, then walked out angrily.

At this point, the store owner got back on the phone and called Darla. She told her that she had just had a weird experience with someone claiming to be the bride herself and wanted to try on her dress.

The TikTok user continued to explain that things got even stranger when she asked for her ID, and she got so angry that she started to threaten her. The store owner then asked the bride if she perhaps had a twin sister.

To her surprise, Darla confirmed that she had a sister who looked like her, but she was not her twin; she was two years older than her. Darla was just as confused about the situation as the TikTok user, but eventually, the women agreed on a new appointment, and the bride assured her that she had two sisters, one that looked like her and one that did not.

On the day of the scheduled fitting, the suspected imposter came in early. This time, she was holding her ID and threw it at the TikToker, which made her angry. Although the ID looked like her, the store owner was still confused because the Darla she had spoken to had been very calm and understanding, not as hot-headed as this customer.

The TikTok user still did not know how to handle the situation because she felt she was dealing with two different people. But this woman demanded to see the dress and said she wanted to have it on by the time her family walked in.

The store owner was still stuck on the next step forward, but she still had 15 minutes before the actual bride was meant to come in, and she was already convinced that she was dealing with the "imposter sister."

As she tried to figure out what to do, the woman took the dress while the store owner was not looking and quickly put it on. While TikToker tried to find the words for her, Darla and her family walked in.

At this moment, the TikTok user was waiting for confirmation of who the real Darla was. So the first thing she asked was who the real bride was, and the family simultaneously pointed at the woman who had just walked into the store.

The whole situation was strange to the store owner as she did not understand why her imposter sister would want to try out her sister's wedding dress without her knowing. The TikToker asked the sister if she was mentally stable and if she needed to talk to someone. However, the family did not make a fuss over it. They laughed, and Darla told her sister to take off the dress.

The TikTok user later revealed that the sister had stolen Darla's ID. People in the comment section were also interested to know how the sister reacted to the store owner asking her if she was mentally stable. But the TikTok user said she just looked at herself in the mirror and ignored her.
