Disney Star Bridgit Mendler Secretly Adopted a Son: Details & 1st Pic of 'The Luckiest Little Boy'

Bridgit Mendler and her husband expanded their family by adopting a 4-year-old boy, sparking a wave of congratulatory messages from their fans. In addition to embracing her new role as a mother, the actress is also embracing a new career.

Mendler, a former Disney Channel star and singer known for her roles in "Good Luck Charlie" and "Wizards of Waverly Place," has shared special news with the public: she and her husband have adopted a child together.

“I’m a mama to a sweet 4-year-old boy. Started fostering in 2021, adopted near Christmas of 2022. I’m so lucky — being a parent is the biggest gift and most defining experience there is,” she posted on X. As the couple shared their heartwarming news, fans rushed to the comments to congratulate them and wish them luck with parenthood.

“I’m gonna cry… I’ve always pictured you as a mother, and I’m pretty sure that he is the luckiest little boy in the whole world,” posted a fan.

Mendler and her husband, Griffin Cleverly, exchanged vows in a beachside wedding ceremony in October 2019. The actress shared pictures from the ceremony, captioned, “Still riding the high of the weekend 🎉 Thank you to everyone for the abundance of love that you showered on Griff and me. We are so excited for this new chapter 💜.”

"It was magical," Mendler said about her wedding. "There was a great sunset, and there was even this dude who built a sandcastle behind us while we were getting married — in his board shorts, constructing this beautiful, amazing sandcastle. While we were saying our vows, I could just see him in my eyeline."

A mother, a wife, a singer, an actress, and a dedicated student, Bridgit Mendler is everything at once. In 2018, she announced her decision to continue her education.

“I'm gonna be starting a graduate program at MIT, which means I'm gonna be juggling a couple of things for a little while,” the actress posted. She went on to explain that social media and its challenges inspired her to dive into the world of media studies.

“I felt like there was a more loving and human way to connect with fans,” said Mendler about social media and reassured her fans that she will continue her singing career, just at a slower pace.

As if to make her career even more impressive, in 2024, the actress shared news about changing career lanes. She discovered her passion for space law while working at the Federal Communications Commission's Space Bureau and is now the CEO of a startup called Northwood Space.

From acting and singing to parenthood and now space entrepreneurship, Mendler continues to inspire with her journey.
