Yesterday, a statement released by Wendy Williams' care team announced her diagnosis of primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Her diagnosis, a result of comprehensive evaluations by specialists at Weill Cornell Medicine, addresses the worrisome symptoms Williams has exhibited, including communication difficulties and erratic behavior. The announcement also aims to combat the stigma associated with the conditions.

"The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances," the statement reads.
