Greedy Girl Falls For Millionaire’s Car – Story of the Day
While walking with her boyfriend, a handsome stranger with a dazzling sportscar proves to be too tempting for Jen to resist. She agrees to spend an evening with the wealthy stranger, never realizing that she's fallen straight into a trap.
"Why can't we just get a taxi to the cafe?" Jen asked, annoyed that they always had to save money. She and her boyfriend, Nate, were walking to the cafe yet again because they didn't have a car.
"Taking a taxi means we won't have enough for our coffee," Nate said.
Was it too much to want a life where she didn't have to choose between a taxi and coffee? Jen glanced at Nate from the corner of her eye. How could he be so content?
As they rounded the corner, Jen spotted a fancy sports car, and her mood shifted. "Hey, pedestrians, care for a ride?" the car owner, Nicholas, shouted to them. Both Nate and Jen stopped.

Nate wasn't sure about accepting a stranger's offer, but Jen jumped at the chance. "Yes, please! I'm Jen," she said, all excited.
Nicholas, too, introduced himself and invited them for some fun that evening. Jen was so excited she got Nate to agree, even though he wasn't keen.
As she and Nicholas got into the car, Jen leaned closer to him. "So, will you take me for a ride?" she asked, quirking her eyebrow slightly to ensure he caught the double meaning in her words.
"I definitely will. Would you like to head back to my place?" Nicholas offered.
Right then, Nate tapped on Jen's window. "Jen, is this even safe?" he asked. "We don't even know him."

"Is your boyfriend always this boring?" Nicholas laughed.
"Jen, come on!" Nate said. "Even if we decide to go with him, I can't get into the car because there's room for only two."
Nicholas smiled and gave Nate his address. "Take a taxi, mate. We'll see you later."
As Jen and Nicholas sped away, Jen felt a bit guilty but got swept up in the thrill of racing through the city with him.
When they reached Nicholas's grand house, Jen was amazed. Nicholas bragged, "I have about fifteen houses all over the country," making Jen's mouth fall open in shock.

Then, in a large room with a view of a garden, Nicholas talked about his renovation plans.
"I'm thinking of putting a pole here," he said, lightly touching Jen's arm. "I really like girls who are into dancing."
"Well, I've taken classes in strip plastic," Jen smiled seductively at Nicholas.
Suddenly, Nate walked in. "Strip plastic? Didn't you say you were going to dance glasses?"
"Oh, come on, Nate. It's a type of dance," Jen said. "It's quite artistic, really."
"I'd really like to see you dance," Nicholas suggested.

Jen was unsure at first, but Nicholas encouraged her, so she started to dance. As the music stopped, she boldly touched Nicholas's knee, showing what she wanted.
Nate was shocked. "Jen, stop. Why are you acting like this?"
"It's just fun," Jen retorted. "Our usual activities are boring."
"We're leaving," Nate insisted, but Nicholas intervened, "She's not going anywhere."
"Why wouldn't she leave with me, her boyfriend?" Nate demanded.
"Because you're a boring loser," Nicholas said. "She deserves someone like me."
"I'm sorry, but that's...that's true," Jen agreed coldly.

"But, Jen, I love you," Nate pleaded.
"Love is not enough. I'm tired of your poverty," Jen declared, choosing her chance with Nicholas over Nate.
"It's just boring coffee dates and parks all the time. When have you ever made me feel special, Nate? And this," she tossed the bouquet Nate had bought for her earlier to the floor. "I don't need your cheap flowers."
"You're making a mistake."
"The only mistake is you, Nate," she retorted, turning to Nicholas. "Please get him to leave. I don't want to see him anymore."
"He can't throw me out!" Nate declared, making Jen's brows furrowed in confusion. "Nicholas works for me, Jen. He's my driver."
Jen froze in shock. "Everything you see here is mine," he continued. "I kept it all hidden because I wanted to see if you were with me for who I am or for what I have."

"Nate, please, I didn't know. Give me another chance," she started begging. But Nate shook his head, "This was a test, Jen. And you didn't pass. It's too late now." He then instructed Nicholas, "Please escort Jen out."
As Jen found herself back in her modest apartment, the weight of her choices crushed her. Feeling betrayed and humiliated, she decided to get revenge on Nate and Nicholas.
Knocking on her neighbor Freddy's door, she demanded, "I need a favor, Freddy. I need to buy a gun."
Freddy was taken aback but intrigued. "Come in. We can't talk about this out here."
"I hope you know you're playing a dangerous game," he said as she followed him inside. "If it's a gun you're after, I know people. It won't be cheap."
"I don't have much, but I'm willing to negotiate."

"We can work something out," Freddy replied and handed her a mysterious package. "Deliver this to Arnie," he instructed, his warning clear: "This isn't child's play. Be careful. You have the address here," he added, handing her a note.
Jen knew what she was going to do was risky, but she decided she wouldn't step back now. Nicholas and Nate deserved to pay for what they had done. And she would make them regret it big time.
At a desolate parking lot, Jen, holding the package, approached a car that signaled her. "Are you Arnie?" she asked the driver.
"Yeah. You got something for me?" the man responded gruffly.
"Here. Freddy sent me," Jen replied, eager to end the exchange.
Suddenly, police sirens cut through the quiet night. "Police! Hands up!" Officers advanced, and chaos ensued as Arnie attempted to escape, prompting Jen to flee into the darkness of a nearby park.

After running through the park, Jen stopped, out of breath and scared. She knew she was deep in trouble now. Even though she was scared and sorry, she knew she couldn't go back. Her need for revenge made her keep going into the night.
About 20 minutes later, Jen stormed into Freddy's place, furious. "Freddy! Your errand almost got me arrested!" she accused, her voice echoing in the small, cluttered space.
Caught off guard while sifting through dubious items, Freddy retorted defensively, "You're the one who got spotted by the cops! I just asked for a favor, not a police chase!"
"I did what you asked! Now, the gun!" Jen demanded.
Reluctantly, Freddy handed over a concealed handgun, cautioning, "Here, but be careful."

Their conversation was cut short as Freddy urged her to leave, hinting at the danger of their situation. "Get out, Jen. Don't tell anyone about this."
Jen stepped into the night, the gun hidden inside her jacket.
The next morning, Jen confronted Nate in a concrete parking lot, her emotions a whirlwind of fear and anger. "Nate! You had no right to judge me!" she yelled, her hand unsteady as she aimed the gun at him.
"Rich people like you will never understand what it's like to struggle for money. You have no idea what it's like to want a comfortable life!"
Nate was taken aback. "Jen, put that thing away!" he said, raising his hands in the air. "Look, it's not about the money. It's about you willing to give up everything, including your dignity, for it. That's what I can't accept."

Jen's hand trembled more violently, the weight of Nate's words cutting deeper than she wanted to admit. The reality of her actions, the path she had chosen, all of it came crashing down on her at that moment.
"Put down the gun, Jen," Nate made a placating gesture to her. "This doesn't need to go any further."
"Screw you! You don't get to order me around, you miserly, judgemental jerk!"
The echo of the first shot reverberated through the concrete expanse of the parking garage.
Overwhelmed by a maelstrom of emotions, Jen barely registered the miss, her focus narrowing to the two figures now seeking refuge behind a concrete pillar — Nate and Nicholas had moved swiftly.

Jen wouldn't stop. But her second shot, a result of her turmoil, backfired tragically as the bullet ricocheted, striking her instead.
Collapsed and in shock, Jen touched her belly, her scream echoing in the empty garage, the reality of her situation crashing down on her.
In the midst of the chaos, Nate immediately dialed for an ambulance. Although he knew Jen could've killed him, he couldn't leave her in pain.
Meanwhile, Nicholas cautiously approached her, eyeing the discarded gun before safely displacing it with his foot. Then, he looked at Jen with a mix of pity and disbelief.
As Jen's blurry vision caught Nate's worried face, the irony struck her. The man she had once threatened was now her savior. Her defenses crumbled, exposing her true intentions. "I just wanted... a taste of the good life," she whispered. "I'm sorry, Nate... I'm so sorry."

Kneeling beside her, Nate offered a forgiving smile. "It's okay, Jen. Help is on the way," he said, extending a comforting hand, bridging the gap of past misunderstandings.
Before darkness engulfed her, Jen promised herself she would change for the better if she got a second chance at life. And she kept that promise.
